They provide free bicycles to the guests, which I used for an early morning visit to the ancient town. A plus-point for Indian food lovers is that just on the opposite side you find an Indian restaurant.

This is a spectacular place to stay - you get a brand new 3 storey villa right on the river all to yourself. The ground floor has a courtyard with plunge pool, kitchen, bathroom and living area; the first floor has a large bedroom, another bathroom and a balcony; and the top floor has a larger balcony with great views up and down the river - lovely spot to have a glass of wine as the sun sets. Everything is of a very high standard, better than the 5 star hotel we stayed in in Hanoi. The hosts are lovely and welcomed us like family - they provide free bikes, gave us snacks and a welcome bottle of wine, and sorted out tours and transfers. Nothing was too much trouble. The location is good for us - on the peaceful local island a 5-7min bike ride to the main tourist areas. Wifi fast and reliable. We would give this 20 out of 10 if we could.

La ALBA was a great place to stay. It's very new and therefore doesn't have as many reviews as some of the other accommodation options in the area. But don't let the lack of reviews discourage you from booking a room at this lovely hotel. There are a lot of positive things to say about this property. The bedrooms are spacious, comfortable and modern. In fact, whether in the bedroom or lobby area, it's easy to feel relaxed and at home here. The shower is powerful and has hot water. Shampoo and shower gel are included. There's a TV with Netflix, which I didn't use, but it's nice to have. And a decent-sized swimming pool. By the way, it's less than 5 minutes of walking to the beach and the beaches here are very good, in my opinion. Or you can go to Hoi An by scooter, bicycle or taxi. Grab taxi is a cheap and reliable option. Rose and the other members of staff are extremely friendly and always ready to be helpful. If you want to book tours or need assistance with transportation, it can be done here. Rose helped me arrange a car directly from the airport and can be easily contacted on WhatsApp. If I come back to this area again in future, I'll stay at La ALBA for sure. I prefer to stay here and visit Hoi An during the evening, but it's also nice to have dinner at one of the many restaurants in the village where the hotel is located. They couldn't do enough for us. Cold towel to refresh when we came back from shopping and a refreshing tea...superb ! Lift to our room. Aircon and ceiling fan in room, excellent. We will be back! Real value for $. Our beautiful reception attendant was a beautiful person and we gave her 10/10. Like being at home this place. Very clean and over a 4 night stay they cleaned the room and changed our bed. Amazing!

We got the penthouse suite, with it's balconies on both sides, outdoor tub, and great views. The shower was also great, and the room had a large bed and room with a kitchen. The value was extraordinary for someone from the US (less than 10% of the US cost).

Very easy to communicate with and replies quickly to messages through booking.com The location is out of the city a bit, but it's what we wanted to this is a positive for us. The building is very new, clean and comfortable
