Want to go surfing in Morocco?

Want to go surfing in Morocco? You need to visit Taghazout Surf Village! A village on the coast of Morocco, not too far from Adagir. Taghazout is well-known for its surfing and its chilled-out hippy vibe but you don’t have to surf or be a pro surfer to enjoy Taghazout! I’m not and I loved it!

The wheather is ideal, and the beaches wonderful ! The vibe of Taghazout is just so peaceful, it's like the Mocorran Bali... Also, we went on an adventure not far from there, to watch the sunset and surf on the sand dunes. It was just magical ! We also had the chance to make a campfire, the kids were so happy ! And last bu not least... you HAVE to taste the famous bananas ;)

This was a great warm place to visit In December.

This was a great warm place to visit In December. We were there only three nights, but found plenty to do especially trying out surfing with the dive school Snoopy who had a premises very close by up the road next to the Red cafe which was next to the Teapot cafe. We ate at the Teapot 2 or 3 times, it was excellent especially the chia and mango parfait, and avocado on soda bread. Lively town with loads of young laid back cool surfers and met only friendly people. We also enjoyed Windy Bay and World of Wave restaurants overlooking the main beach. The water was rough though but exciting to paddle in, and concerns for so many wild cats and dogs, and many gorgeous puppies roaming around. Also don’t expect clean beaches or well made roads and paths, but if you overlook that, you may find it as charming as we did.

A great place for surf and chill.

A great place for surf and chill. Panorama is a good spot for beginners to intermediate and Anchor Point is where it happens if you're more advanced (and not scared of rocks and impose yourself in the line-up), there is also Banana Point and Devil's Rock down south within a 10 minutes taxi ride and Mysteries, Killer's Point and PK25 on the north to visit. Taghazout itself got a bit touristic these last years (I mean you can now get Acaï bowl and there is a bunch of fancy coworking spaces to sleep and work) but it's still great to stay and there is a lot of option for food and activities. You'll also meet a lot of people from all around the world (mostly surfers obviously). The sunset from the Skate park on top of the hill is also a must see and you can rent a skateboard in town. If you want a more authentic atmosphere you can go to Imsouane which is a bit more remote, but Taghazout is still a very nice place to stay for a week or two.

Lovely hotel with great views overlooking the beach and ocean. Clean and spacious rooms, lovely pool and spa facilities that were not overly expensive. Great selection of excellent food and they were even able to cater for my wheat intolerance (gluten free). The staff were friendly, particularly the reception staff offering lots of information about local facilities and trips.

The location was perfect since this is the closest fancy property to the old town of taghazout. I highly recommend to also eat in the local small restaurants in the village of Taghazout to get the real local experience. This place is perfect for beginners who want to try surfing 🏄🏼‍♂️ The rooms are big and the bed comfortable :) There is a big tv but unfortunately we couldn’t connect with our phone. The pool and chilling areas are wonderful and the view to the sea is definitely one of the best things of the resort.

Extremely clean, perfect location, luxurious, one of my favourite family holidays. On par with luxury hotels in the UAE. Very impressive. The people of Morroco are the friendliest, the staff at the resort always accommodating and kind. Thank you for everything. Special mention to Chigr Soufiane who was always available for help. Our housekeeping lady was so friendly and pristine too, sorry I cannot remember her name! Apologies I cannot remember anyone else’s names, but you are all fantastic.

excellent position, new structure very well thought in the details inside, creating a comfortable warm and cozy atmosphere, the view from the top floor is something that put in peace with yourself. I had the chance to sleep in the dorm and falling asleep with the white noise of the waves on the beach in background! really amazing experience, thank to Boris and all his staff, no better way to close my trip in Morocco.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, great communication. The common space on the rooftop is a great place to meet other travelers and the locals alike. Breakfast and courtesy dinner (unexpected but very much welcomed ) was really great too. The location was ideal. I will recommend this hostel for Taghazout for the ones who are looking to connect with others and socialize a lot.

The hotel was a one minute walk from the beach, the two terraces were great places for breakfast and hanging out at the end of the day, the rooms were absolutely pristine and the beds and comforters were really comfortable. Best of all were the staff! They were so helpful in every way possible…one of them even loaned my son their skateboard!

The Horizon Hotel is centrally located in the surf and beach town of Taghazout. The rooms are small but nicely decorated and the rooftop terraces were really lovely in the evenings with views to the ocean and over the town. Ali is very helpful and friendly. There is a well appointed kitchen on the roof top terrace and breakfast is available.

Location, tranquility, service, vibe and amenities. The suites have a fully equipped kitchen so very convenient to cook a meal for a change especially that a grocery store is a 2min walk from the entrance of the hotel. Worth mentioning their names are the beach restaurants staff, amazing service with friendly approach. Thank you Hassan!

My holiday in Taghazout was amazing and my stay at Singlein with Taoufik was the main reason why. The place is literally right on the beach with the most epic views of the ocean, especially from the rooftop terrace, sippin some tea. Taoufik and his family are really hospitable and make you really feel like a welcomed guest.

It’s located 3km out from Taghazout center, on the hills, consider you will need the car to move, but it’s only 5min-7min drive. They have a very beautiful area for hiking just few min distant from the hotel and a lovely private garden with small pool.
