Amoudi is slowly building-up its tourist industry but remains quieter and less built-up than the rest of the island's resorts especially those on the southern and south-eastern beaches. It's truly lovely with quite small beaches (not all sandy). All Zakynthian roads are chaotic and Amoudi is no different. Always walk facing oncoming traffic and at night have reflector or small torch handy! Tap water is not suitable for drinking (or boiling we were told) so we used bottled water for drinks etc. There are no shortages of excellent restaurants most with amazing sea views.

Amoudi is a small village, it's not really a resort.
Amoudi is a small village, it's not really a resort. This brings both advantages (you can find shops with decent prices, it's very quiet, it's not crowded), and disadvantages (no night life, no parties, you need to go to a different town/city/port for all of the organized boat trips), depending on what you are looking for. There are a few beaches, but we only liked one, with nice sand and perfect water (large areas with small water, for children, but also deep water for swimmers). We found both very good food, and mediocre food, depending on the tavern. There is a bus going through the village a few times per day, and it can be successfully used to travel cheaply (1.6 euros pp in July 2023), but you need to plan ahead, otherwise you may end up needing to take a taxi back.

Quiet family-oriented area with many good restaurants and several small beaches. Ovelix grill bar is our favorite but all restaurants we tried were very good. No big resort with tons of tourists which we appreciated.

Lovely beach, not too crowded, beautiful view, clean water. Not much sand in the beach, but at the same time there were not many rocks in the water which is a bonus. The rocky part on the right side of the sea was great for snorkelling- you can notice at least 8 different types of fish. Amoudi is a small village.
Amoudi is a small village. Is you are looking for a quiet place is the perfect choice. We rented a car, so it was easy to visit other places and beaches. We stayed at Patronis Studios and our host Dela recommended someone who rents boats, the boat took us from Amoudi beach and we visited the Blue caves and the famous Navagio Beach with is amazing blue waters and the shipwreck. There are some restaurants, I can recommend Amoudi - good food, good price, great service and a perfect atmosphere.

Everything just right.
Everything just right. The stuff made us feel welcome, scaled our moves, figured out quickly the limits of our need of privacy. They were not after the money, they were finding happines in serving. Normal people, with days of happines and days of less talking. They love their sun, the see, the life.

Such a wonderful woman, very positive and always smiling, goes above and beyond to make you happy. Unfortunately, our flight was cancelled and had to stay one more night in Zakynthos. Luckily, our room was still empty for a day and Anastasia generously offered us to stay another night for free. Overall, we had a great experience at Julia Studios and I truly recommend this accommodation if you want to experience the true Greek Hospitality!

Nick, our host, and his family made us feel welcomed and they were very helpful providing great info and tips and could’ve arranged whatever we needed such as private boat excursions and car rentals. Calypso was our mini heaven in Zante!

Amoudi is a very small, tranquil village so if you are looking for a calmer, relaxing holiday I highly recommend Remezzo.

The hosts are lovely people, very helpful and friendly and it’s a pleasure to spend thine with them sharing stories in the shadows of the hotel’s lovely garden. Lots of fig trees around, also enjoyed the delicious figs that I picked myself from the tree 😊

Shop is next to it and you have free parking there. Rooms are really clean and have everything you need. Our room (nr 3) had amazing view on sunrise! I've never seen such a beautiful sky!
