The breakfast was quaint and cozy. It's just toast and tea/coffee, but the jam, butter and honey combo were amazing. Also there are boiled eggs.
Our room had its own bathroom and we loved it. Very comfortable stay.
Location was perfect. We walked to the shrine to watch the yagura performance like 5 minutes away walking. Then we went to the gorge the next day, which was just a couple minute drive.

The hostel was really good. We were impressed by the style decoration and the staff. Anyone interested to stay overnight in a traditional Japanese style this place is highly recommended.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Each of the four meals I had were served in a different private dining room with a beautiful view. Needless to say, the meals tasted and looked great!

Property extremely run down. Bedding was uncomfortable. Facilities were terribly neglected and DIRTY. Pictures did not represent the property facilities. The bbq area was terrible and almost unusable. No resources. Wouldn’t even step into kitchen it was dirty and unhelpful utensils. Bathroom was also dirty - dust, mould, used bandaids in shower, cockroaches. Gas burner provided but no fry pans or grills. Microwave was dirty. Things everywhere making any communal facilities uncomfortable and improper for use.
