The valley offers tons of hikes.
The valley offers tons of hikes. My 2 kids loved modern cablelines connecting the valley to the hills of Speikboden and Klausberg. Up-there, you'll find tons of family activities (playgrounds, bobsled track and huge slides. Val Aurina is located just next to the more famous Dolomites, but is definitely a comparable choice for your next holiday

The Val Aurina/Ahrntal is possibly a well kept secret in the SüdTirol/Alto Adige region of Italy. The view on the Zillertal Alps is magnificent. The Holiday card one gets in exchange for the local taxes works splendidly with free transporation on local buses (amazing network!) and even on the trains from Bruneck. But the real topper is the free rides on the two cable cars until the end of June! Countelss walks and mountain bike routes available everywhere!

Breakfast offered both quality and quantity, whether you wanted something sweet or sour, and came with a proper selection of bread types. Room was spacious and the bed comfortable (as a person with a bad back, often times I have issues with matresses; not this time). Hotel is also very close to a bus stop, which is key to move through the valley. Internet was fast and reliable.
