We had planned a 5 day trip by staying in Myrkdalen and exploring Flåm and around. We did drive everyday which was a bit hectic. One or two extra days with relaxing and hiking locally would have been better.

Our arrival was significantly delayed by a rock fall closing the E16 and we had to take a very long detour. I emailed the hotel explaining how we could miss dinner as a result and they kindly offered to feed us regardless of how late we were. Fortunately, we arrived before the restaurant closed but their offer was very reassuring!

At the bottom of the slopes steped out of my skis and into the hotel just like in the alps. The hotel provided a free ski locker which was great. The staff also matched the location, they were always on hand and very helpful. Really enjoyed the area and this little ski slope :) Also ski hire and tour guides close by

The hotel has a nice and cosy lobby - it was good to hang out there and drink some tea there in the evening.
