Pyhatunturi is primarily a ski resort, but also offers plenty to do in the summer: hiking, fat-tyre biking, fishing, trail running etc etc you name it. There are a few hotels, probably hundreds of cabins, and also a camping area for caravans (not sure if you can pitch a tent there). From the resort you can access the Pyha-Luosto National Park, which offers great hiking trails of varying difficulty. There is a visitor centre where you can find out lots about the national park. One of the chairlifts operates throughout the summer and you can go to the top of the fell to admire the vistas (and to eat the yummy waffles at the fell-top cafe!). Several shops, including a good-sized supermarket. A number of restaurants too. The hiking is not too extreme here, so it's a great place for families.
The room was clean with available amenities in the kitchen and bathroom
The view to the lake and location of the hotel was real good
Restaurant is very close to the hotel (several meters)
Dinner in the restaurant was tasty, but had very little options
Sauna option in the room was really good
There is no need to travel far to see northern lights, you can literally see them from the shore of the hotel lake
Great location of the hotel. All the trails in Pyhä start only few hundred meters away. The restaurants, the visitor center/museum, K-Market all within 5min walk reach. Clean room with a great view. Many lounge areas inside the hotel and a cozy restaurant. The sauna is spacious with a pleasant steam. Gym is a plus, it has a great view, a balcony outside, and a direct access to the showers and the sauna.
the hotel is very well-located and well-equipped - it is having the perfect starting location for the trips as well as amazing view to the valley; kettle availability; easy parking in front of the hotel; friendly and helpful reception (no problem with late arrival); excellent and rich breakfast - enjoyable local specialities, wide variety of food
Good and quiet location, still close to the resort. Fully equipped kitchen, just remember to bring your own spices and foodstuff if you're into cooking. Roomy apartment, nice living room space. Drying cabinet is a nice touch and if you're staying longer, there's a washing machine, too! The staff at hotel Pyhätunturi was very nice and welcoming.
Location of the hotel is just magnificent, especially if you are planning Aurora hunting. Just ask staff for the best spot, it should be on the lake 10 min away from the hotel. It was easy for us to get to the hotel from Rovaniemi by bus.
Convenient and comfortable. A great base for exploring the area. I did several activities booked through Bliss Adventure which were excellent. The hotel breakfast was expansive. The room has lots of space for hanging and drying your gear.
A fantastic ski-in ski-out home. The apartment had absolutely everything you would need. Very clean and ideal position. Being able to use the hotel was a great bonus
I loved the hotel, the staff was very helpful and friendly . They made us feel very welcomed . They had an excellent sauna and a fine dinner with excellent food.
The room was big, we were 2 and we had a kind of small apartment for 4 persons.
The room has private sauna.
We liked the hotel and we enjoyed our stay there.
