The overall quality of the hotel and the room is fine. I especially like the design. The food is also fine and delicious. The hot tub is life-saving at the end of the day.
The 4-star Hotel Grand Jasna is located at 3.6 feet above sea level in the center of the mountain resort of Jasná. Built next to a ski slope, it offers a ski-to-door access.

This is our second season staying here. It was still amazing! Clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff, great wellness and most importantly super delicious food. Bus leaves and arrives at the front of the door, very easy to get to the ski resort.

beautiful, amazing views, nice lifts and long trails, but not for the begginers, even blue trails have spots were they are too difficult for the begginers, and you have no way of knowing until you get there.

Demanovska Dolina is a verly long village, so it depends when you are going and what you want to do. If you want to ski all day, I would recommend to find accommodation directly on the slope / under the lift, as otherwise you will have to drive with your car or with a ski bus for 20 - 30 min and you might not even fit in the bus which tends to be full. However, if your aim is not solely skiing, you might want to stay in the village, as the place for walking might be better there than on the slope. The ski area is smaller than in the usual Alpine resorts, but big enough for an intermediate skier. The prices (for the ski-pass, food and drinks) are high for the value you're getting.

Demänovská Dolina is a stunning place that I recently visited. It is surrounded by beautiful nature and offers a multitude of opportunities for hiking and exploration. One of the highlights of my stay was the option to take cable cars that led me to the ridges of the hills. From there, I could embark on beautiful hiking trails with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys. It was an amazing experience to venture along these adventurous paths. Demänovská Dolina also provides a peaceful and serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. During my walks, I enjoyed the beauty of the surroundings and the sense of tranquility that prevailed. If you're looking for a place where you can truly unwind and discover the wonders of nature, Demänovská Dolina is the right choice. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking magnificent hiking trails and unforgettable experiences.

New ski area for mediate level skiers good.
New ski area for mediate level skiers good. Well prepared slopes. Apres ski not great and no supermarket in the area only 12 km drive away. Beautiful nature and great views. Expensive for Slowakia standards (ski passess 65 euro/day, ski rental 40 Euro/day, ski lession 40 euro/per person/per hour). We will be returning with our expectations adjusted.

Skiing was very nice in these beautiful mountains but slopes are very tricky for beginners or mid-level skiers. There is not any services (restaurants, shops, kiosks etc.) outside of hotels so you are forced to have the package with accommodation and foods.

Nice area. Decent snowboarding slopes.
Nice area. Decent snowboarding slopes. The ski rental shop (the one right next to Happy End bar at the entry to the ski area) was a bit of a con billing us nearly double the rates they publish online and letting us know that only at the end of the trip - claiming the published rates are only relevant if you book online and not at the shop. I’d avoid them at all costs.
The house is nice, well equiped and modern style with wooden surfaces, decorations. At the entrance you take off your shoes. The rooms are on the first floor, staircase is close. There is a heated room for the ski equipment, accessible from outside. The house is situated near the main road, but there was no noise during the night. A bus stop for the ski bus is around 3 minutes walk near a hotel. It is good, because the bus driver stops back and forth anyway, even you cannot remember the name of the stop.
Very nice place located deeper in the forest (300m from main location by road or 200m through forest - saw a small group of elk once when were walking back from skiing). So if you like quiet you will find it here with nature, small river. But if you want to party - it is great for that too - you should rent the whole place and you are free to play your music as loud as you please and would not bother a soul.
Super good hosts. Pet friendly. Very kind.
Basically this is magical place.
The host is much friendly.
I spent 6 days with my family over there.
After 2 days we felt like a family.
The host and his wife operate the house and this super friendly and take care for all you need.
There is a bar with small restaurant in the house.
It was great to finish the day with Pizza home made and with a beer.
Highly recommend 👌.
The staff was remarkably helpful - on booking.com states that there's oven, but there wasn't one in the room. I contacted to ask about it as I had brought food to cook - few hours later I was delivered a large new electric oven to use!
You can finish the day skiing at the door of the chalet with your skis/board still on. It's right next to the piste
The hotel was very cosy, we had everything we needed. The hosts were so helpful in every situation. the rooms very clean and very very warm (and that factor is very important in winter time). Special space for keeping skiing equipment is also very well equiped. The beds are incredibly comfortable - you don't feel another person in the bed.
Everything was very good and comfortable. Stayed there 2 years in a row. If we ever go to Jasna again, definetely will choose this property. Spacy apartments, warm inside, comfortable and enough space to keep the ski equipment. Fabulous breakfast for smart price.
There was free parking available.
The view from our room was quite nice.
The room was clean and the staff was friendly and polite.
The hotel has a storage room for skiis with a ski shoe dryer and is in a walking distance from the slopes (around 10min. walk).
This was such a dissapointment. Please choose ANY other hotel near by wheather cheaper or more expensive, it doesnt matter just not this. I chose this accomodation beacause of good price in this region, but I so much regretted it.
We stayed for a ski holiday with a group of friends. The ski bus stop is very close. The owner was friendly. The house has everything you need: a ski storage room, fully equiped kitchen, a fireplace.
Large, modern, two-bedroom apartment with up to date kitchen and bathroom. Great location close to ski lift and restaurants. Peter, the manager, was very helpful and friendly.
There are possibility to order good breakfast. Location is close to ski route. We have little snow. I think it is possible to ski to the cottage's door if there are much snow
Big clean room, but no air-conditioning might be a problem in hot days. We had a tasty degustation dinner. We stayed in better hotels in Tatra for a lower price.
