We got a very cozy room with astonishing valley views, an excellent breakfast that tasted homemade, and friendly staff. The dinner was great also, would surely recommend it. Unfortunately, the Candanchú Ski Resort was closed in late December due to the lack of snow, but the Astun Ski Resort was partially open and it was just a 3km ride from the hotel.

Great for families with children or beginners in general.
Great for families with children or beginners in general. Lots of offer for beginners and also good for advanced skiers, but beginners have a big separate area that is very safe for first times. Also, excellent teachers at the Escuela de Esquí Candanchu. They are very good with children. If you are looking for lively apres-ski, better to stay in Jaca. However, Candanchu is the perfect place to avoid hassle in the morning, right by the slopes, good facilities and fun. You can pop down to Jaca in the evenings if looking for other activities (ice skating, visiting the Citadelle, the cathedral, good restaurants, etc).

Breakfast this time was really good, not super huge selection, but everything was really good. Certainly more on level of 4 star hotel than 3 star hotel. Same goes for rooms, they were nice, newly renovated and spacious. Its definitely a very good hotel for this price and not to mention location which is only 30m from a ski lift. I will choose this hotel again when I will come back to Candanchu.

Lots of history and you can feel the pioneering spirit from all those years ago. Right on the border of Spain and France - stop off on the summit/pass and take some photos. The bed and pillows were comfortable ,the bedding was very good and the heating worked.The bar prices were reasonable ,the evening meal was tasty and the buffet breakfast had a good and varied choice of both hot and cold food.we will be back.

Room we got was a family room, very spacious with comfy beds and an unreal view of the mountains. Breakfast was very good and so was the dinner that we had. We'll be back!!
