Great for families with children or beginners in general.
Great for families with children or beginners in general. Lots of offer for beginners and also good for advanced skiers, but beginners have a big separate area that is very safe for first times. Also, excellent teachers at the Escuela de Esquí Candanchu. They are very good with children. If you are looking for lively apres-ski, better to stay in Jaca. However, Candanchu is the perfect place to avoid hassle in the morning, right by the slopes, good facilities and fun. You can pop down to Jaca in the evenings if looking for other activities (ice skating, visiting the Citadelle, the cathedral, good restaurants, etc).

Not the most luxury rooms but comfortable and matching with the surroundings of the mountains. The evening meal had a nice choice and was very tasty with large portions. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I certainly would come back when being in this area again.

As a hotel in a ski resort, we did not expect air conditioning - hot weather meant that the room was hot but fans were not provided. Restaurant staff worked diligently to deal with large numbers of guests. A refurbished property in a snow resort, it has been worked hard in past seasons and is a little tired. Nonetheless, good value overall.

The dinner was great also, would surely recommend it. Unfortunately, the Candanchú Ski Resort was closed in late December due to the lack of snow, but the Astun Ski Resort was partially open and it was just a 3km ride from the hotel.

The super kind staff, the well equipped rooms, the views from the room, the breakfast buffet, even the picnic bag that can be ordered for a hiking day, everything was fantastic!
