Since visiting 5 years ago, Queenstown has changed so much!
Since visiting 5 years ago, Queenstown has changed so much! So many more things to do & it’s just beautiful! I enjoyed our stay and the limitless things that you can do, especially with children! Would definitely recommend!!
Really enjoyed King Pin arcade and the Beef brisket tacos at El Camino Cantina (the restaurant right outside). The Queenstown mall was a great place to explore on foot & the Cookie Bar never disappoints!
Also CANNOT go wrong with the classic Ferg Burger 🤤
We didn’t get to take the kids on the Gondola & Luge due to the fact they were sick but would recommend that too!!!! From our trip 5 years ago, memories are still vivid and still as memorable as ever!

When flying into Queenstown, it was so unreal, like a going to another world. Beautiful scenery, fresh air, it felt so peaceful. It's friendly and quiet, I've never been to a place like this. Enjoyed the gondola ride and a nice yummy lunch at the restaurant. Enjoyed the restaurants, walking along the lakeside and seeing many people. There was a market day with many great stalls selling crafts, jewelry and food. Great vibe 😁

We stayed out in the Five Mile shopping development in Frankton, near the airport. But we have been to Queenstown many times before and it is always a great place to come to. Some much beauty and lots of fun things to do. Just be aware that on-street parking in the downtown Queenstown area is impossible, so select one of the parking garages accessed from Isle Street. Cost is typical for New Zealand-- expensive. But you'll be better off parking in one them then spending our time driving around looking for a place to park.

Queenstown is a stunning place to visit for scenery.
Queenstown is a stunning place to visit for scenery. There are many activities to participate in. I participated in a 5 day cycle ride on excellent trail which were well marked and maintained.
It's easy to walk around the town, even at night. Lots of eateries.
The town was upgrading roads from the airport but it was well managed and causing minimal inconvenience. There is a bus to and from the airport to city which costs $2 NZD a trip (with a Bee card which can be purchased at the airport for $5 NZD).

Queenstown is a beautiful place and we toured around the area by car. So much to see and views are just amazing. Queenstown is a great place for adventure. You can go on the Gondola and then ride down on the luge. We went on the Shotover Jet which is so fast and exciting. Also went in the OLSEN spa pools which was very relaxing and looks over the valley. There is so much to do and if you are an adrenalin junky, then this is your town. Be prepared to spend money as the cost of food, accommodation and the tours etc are expensive.
Great place to visit
There are so many positives in regards to this hotel. The location was great. A five minute walk down the hill and you are in the centre of Queenstown and all it has to offer. The room was spacious, warm and inviting. Add to that the little extras on offer- NZ lollies and Happy Hour from 5-6 every night and it made for a really enjoyable stay. Of course the staff are always the icing on the cake in any hotel review and they were all wonderful. Friendly, professional and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
We had decided to stay an extra night in Queenstown and as our hotel was already booked out booked in to this hotel for one night. I would stay here again as it's a small hotel in a central location. The room we had was slightly below street level so was a little dark but very quiet. There is a guest laundry provided which was greatly appreciated. This hotel is close to the park and central Queenstown and is great value for money
The Queenstown House Hotel is conveniently located above the busy central area. Its warm and friendly staff is available and caring, and happy to answer any questions guests may have.
Rooms are clean with nice bathrooms. The Hotel has free laundry facilities throughout. This is a great perk whether you are skiing, hiking or just hanging out.
Breakfast was included and that was good too.
We hope to visit again.
Hosts were great! Easy to communicate with for their beautiful home. The location was amazing, we could see the sunrise in the morning over the mountains. Being able to wake up to that view during our stay was the real steal- IG worthy pics for a cheaper price than most motels/hotels. Facilities were super convenient. The heated bathroom floors were a game changer!
A beautifully maintained motel with all new furnishings. Excellent cooking facilities and amenities. Kind staff, and in an easily accessible location, just out of the town centre. Even got a room upgrade to a bigger room upon checking in. Air conditioning in the room was much appreciated, considering a lot of accomodation in New Zealand doesn't have it.
The location is reasonably close to Queenstown central but need to pass through a steep slope (so need to be careful for elderly and physically handicapped). The hotel is also within easy reach to Queenstown Hill & Time walk. The bed are comfortable and room air-conditioning is great and reactive (motion sensor). Staff are friendly and helpful.
Very modern, clean and very well equipped apartment in an excellent location in central Queenstown (5min walk to the lakefront shops and eateries). Very quiet despite being near a busy road. Our apartment had superb mountain views from the balcony. Super friendly and helpful staff. Free on-site parking.
the staff were amazing! the team has been super helpful throughout our 3-nights stay. provided lots of recommendations on what to see/eat in Queenstown. they have beenvery flexible and attentive. the view of the hotel was superb. it is easily our best stay in our New Zealand trip
Location was great, central to Queenstown township. Breakfast was good, bacon was overcooked though. Hotel itself is bit outdated I.e the interior could do with new carpet/ paint but otherwise fine. Conference set up was good.
Handy to Queenstown centre. Nice view of mountain and lake. Beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious and well designed. The cooked breakfast was excellent too. And great to have free parking.
Queenstown is a wonderful location.
The apartment is a short walk to the town center and waterfront.
The apartment is modern and very much like a quality Hotel room.
The staff are obliging and friendly.
The apartment came stocked with all expected amenities and the location was absolutely perfect. Right on the lake and only a 10-15 mins walk to the centre of the city.
love the view of the mountain and lake from the bed. very good breakfast with good variety of food. Hotel in great location at centre of town. valet parking.
The apartment is about a 12 minute drive from central Queenstown which was a plus for us.
Very cosy and perfect for up to 4 with all the amenities we needed.
