Disappointed at the lack of details in overall cleanliness remote encrusted with grunge and sticky and the bathroom baseboards and floor needed an overall good cleaning. The rugs needed a deep cleaning. Just generally disgusted as the room rate was expensive compared to the quality of other hotels by in the area. The closest restaurant “Nats” was horrendous steak was grisly and the bartender couldn’t make a martini acceptable after 2 tries. Need to hire a plow service unacceptable conditions for a major chain . Morgan and Morgan attorneys would have a field day. Never plowed all turned to ice overnight. I am requesting a full refund after falling on ice.

When taking the Auto Train, this is a really convenient place to stay (either before or after the trip). Very close to the station, easy to get to from I-95 or the Beltway. Accommodations were clean and the bed very comfy! Breakfast included hot pancakes (the machine that makes them is automated; fun to watch them come off the belt) Staff very friendly!

I grew up just four miles north of Lorton and remember the "olden days" when there was nothing on the present hotel/shopping site but woods. I wanted to visit the Lorton School, across the road from the facility, so this location was perfect. I also visited some remembered places in nearby Occoquan and Alexandria. It was a good location, accessible to my former home area.

What I haven't seen elsewhere is the convenience to the Lorton auto train station. If you're driving from more than 4 or 5 hours from Lorton to catch the auto train and you don't want to be exhausted when you get here, you need to come the day before. The Holiday Inn Express in Lorton is ideally located and gives you all you want an more. Price is not cheap but very reasonable.

I went and had a delicious meal at Naty's Mexican Restaurant & I actually booked a dental cleaning with the dental team Gentle Dental. I was taking Auto Train which is minutes away. The overall trip & experience was perfect in every way and much better than I would have thought. Thank you, it was the best place to land for my long travel south.
