The White Horse Inn was wonderful! Very comfortable and clean. Bob And Allen are great owners! Location was perfect...quiet but yet accessible to Killington and Stowe. Would definitely stay here again! Frank & Linda

Waitsfield is exactly how I pictured a small New England town should look. It has adorable shops, a farmer's market, and some good restaurant options. We had delicious steak at the Hyde Away Inn, and beer at Lawson's Finest Liquids. Our stay at the Mad River Lodge was comfortable, in a lovely setting just outside of town. We were in the area for the Mad River Marathon, which is challenging, but scenic.

We loved the town, however we had a hard time finding businesses and restaurants that were actually open for business. This was partly due to COVID and also we visited on a Monday/Tuesday. We sadly learned that some of the establishments we wanted to visit were closed permanently or not opened due to the days of the week. We ended up having to go to the supermarket to purchase our dinner, because 3 of the restaurants we wanted to go to were closed for business, or closed at 8 pm, (we live in the city and an 8 pm close is unheard of) and we didn’t want to eat pizza or Chinese.... so we ended up at at the grocery store which also closed at 9.

Waitsfield was charming and centrally located for skiers.
Waitsfield was charming and centrally located for skiers. Close to Sugarbush and Mad River Glen. Very good restaurants. I would highly recommend the Mad River Taste Cheese Shop for amazing cheeses, local products and great service!

Beautiful town nestled in the mountains of Vermont.
Beautiful town nestled in the mountains of Vermont. Check out Lawson's Brewery and Pub -- A new facility with exceptional beer and unique atmosphere. Consider staying at the nearby Tucker Hill Inn with comfortable cozy rooms, outstanding staff, and excellent food. Relax with a round of golf at the nearby Sugar Bush Golf Course which is absolutely beautifully maintained and well designed. The mountain views are spectacular. Waitsfield is worth your time to visit!

Winding our way over mountains and through the forests was really enjoyable. And arriving in Waitsfield was a pleasant surprise. I kept watching for the unique character and design of houses and other buildings around the town.
We loved how friendly and welcoming it was as soon as we got there. Like most hotels, it’s typically very busy with a lot of noise from various people. Staying at the inn had giving us relief that this was from from any hotel. Our stay was quiet, and relaxed as we had planned. Though, our trip was cut short due to personal reasons, we will absolutely be coming back. The best part about the inn is the amazing breakfast that is served to you and made freshly from the kitchen.
It's a brand new inn with a modern design. We booked a family room with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen. The living room is spacious, the kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom and shower are all new. There's a nice shared area with board games. There's an elevator, so it's easy to bring up your luggage. There's an SMS service that sends you updates about check-in, wi-fi and also they reply if you text any questions.
Gracious hospitality. Susan, Steve, and staff were top notch. Our stay stay was enhanced by their service and attention.
Understated elegance, rustic charm, and well appointed accomodations. The Inn is a welcomed respite to getaway, relax, and treat yourself to what the area has to offer. Excellent location.
Outstanding food! Enough said.
Great romantic getaway in Vermont.
The hotel is very cozy with the typical flair of a mountain lodge. Beautiful and clean rooms, easy check-in, friendly staff, free coffee all the time and even some cheap snacks for breakfast. The hotel lobby is also very beautiful. We were looking for a cheap overnight-stay and our expectations were even exceeded.
This hotel is newer in a pretty spot nestled among the trees, linked to a great restaurant right off the highway. It is quiet, super clean, the beds and linens are comfortable and the staff cannot be friendlier. No tv's but the Wifi was good so we watched Netflix, and there was plenty of hot water.
Hotel staff and location are fantastic. The people made the stay. In back they have a great bar area and restaurant for locals to meet and eat at. That was special as you normally don't sit with locals at ski locations. This is a special little inn. Would stay again.
Easy Check in! I didn’t see any staff but that ok I was provided with everything I needed.
The hotel was still having some refurbishment going on but it’s looking great!
Room very beautiful felt very safe as a solo traveller!
Lovely surrounding loads of Parking
Charming old Inn (1912) with lots of character and comfortable beds. Staff was friendly and informative. Great location between Waterbury and Waitsfield. Bathroom did have a blow-dryer.
