We went for a long weekend to visit family and stayed at the Hamption Inn, which was comfortable and very convenient for our family visits. The Inn was clean and staff was very helpful and friendly. The free breakfast was a plus and there was something for everyone!! Will stay here again when we go back in the fall.

Rutland is a great location for skiers but there has been no new hotel built in ages and current hotels seem to be steadily declining while prices have risen considerably to make it a much worse value than 20, 10 , or even 5 years ago.

The doors outside wer broke the pool did t even work. There was not hot breakfast. Mold in the bathrooms along with alcohol bottles on the dresser. Just nasty.

Hike to Killington Peak was awesome!!!
Hike to Killington Peak was awesome!!! Take a sweater for when you reach the peak. It has splendid views but it gets cold and windy up there. it takes about 2 to 3 hours to get to the peak depending on how many times you stop. Most of the hike is moderate/easy until the last 5 minutes where it gets a little difficult but it is worth it. You ca bring your dog with you.
It is about 20 minutes from the Days Inn in Rutland.

I love Rutland! I would move my family there if I could.
I love Rutland! I would move my family there if I could. It has lots of stores and restaurant like a city but has an suburb feel. The mountains are beautiful. I wish I had more time to explore the night life and downtown.

went to apple-bees with friends it was fun. had drinks at the 99 restaurant that was the best. oh and had breakfast at Denny's 3 times the best blueberry pancakes and Vermont syrup. went to killington to check out all the outdoor stuff going on. went to a few different waterfalls and then went to a place called swinging bridge and just hung out in the river. the weather was beautiful.
Absolutely nothing. I still want my money back. I did not stay and you know it. That place wasn't even suppose to be renting rooms. It is a homless shelter. Also you took my money in march. Hotel says they never got any from you. So I guess it is booking.com just stealing customers money. I have 1500 friends on Facebook and I am telling them to never use you and telling them to share it to their friends. I use you folks all the time, but I assure you, never again. You are dishonest people.
The room was actually pretty big, and comfy. I clearly visited after most of the renovations had been completed, so it was decent enough, pool was open, but a little on the cold side. No hot tub :/ It's pretty prime location in Rutland, lots around, about 30 mins to Killington and 20 to Pico. Nice trails nearby too.
The host, Sallie ,went out of her way to provide an enjoyable stay. The house is very beautiful and has a remarkable historical story which Sallie will share with you. The house is in a quite neighborhood and close to an area with lots of choices to dine. This is the perfect place to stay if your in the area.
I came for a wedding weekend to Rutland. The hotel has a super friendly staff.
The lady in the dining room, can't remember her name, I think it may have been Karin, was exceptional. She was very friendly, helpful and accommodating to all our needs.
Enjoyed my stay and have no regrets for booking this hotel.
The check in staff was pleasant fast and friendly. I did feel safe which was a concern of mine prior to visiting Rutland. Good options for the continental breakfast. Wish there were scrambled eggs. Channel selection was good but more info would have been good regarding the program you were watching.
I really liked the way the hotel looked and the fact that there is a mall next to the hotel with a giant parking lot which was good for us. We also liked that the pool and gym are big and that we didn't have to walk too far to reach a supermarket.
Loved the breakfast buffet! The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The location was just a few minutes from the people we came to visit and was convenient to the downtown area. Accommidations were easy to book and were as advertised.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Good location, close to both skiing at Killington and dinner options in Rutland.
Breakfast hours are also great for skiing, i.e., starting early at 6:30 am. Food was mostly ok.
Room was comfortable and clean. The shower was great AND the bathroom door closed. Some lower end hotels have major problems like the bathroom door is too wide for the opening😱
We went there for skiing in Killington. The location was good. The breakfast was good. I liked the hotel as a few scattered houses instead of a big block of a highrise.
The hotel was a great place for overnight, great rate, had a great free breakfast, heated indoor pool & sauna was a short distance from downtown, will be back again
