A nice destination in less than 4 hours from NYC area or Boston. Beautiful countryside nearby, town with great shopping and a number of destination restaurants. Easy drive to ski or hike. The outlets are always worth a visit. Don't miss Northshire Books!

Cute town, quaint ant easy to get around.
Cute town, quaint ant easy to get around. Enjoyed our brief one day stay. We were there on Sunday-Monday, in early October, very few restaurants open but the restaurant that was open had great food with a good atmosphere.

The bookstore - a real one; the restaurants, each high quality in its type; the high end gift shops with unique products; the summer home of Abraham Lincoln's son (President of the Pullman Passenger Car Company). Gorgeous mountain scenery. Wonderful - and oh so patient staff everywhere. Very evident pride of community. A community that works for every-one - even the locals in busy tourist times. The absence of "can find anywhere on the planet" mall stores - a real plus plus!

We visited “Hildene,” the summer home of Robert Todd Lincoln and his family and descendants: very interesting historical site with spectacular views of the mountains and valleys. The town is picturesque and offers good shopping and snack/dining choices. We also had perfect weather— which never hurts.
Nice quiet area overlooking the mountains. Great friendly proactive couple running the lodge. Homemade breakfasts were a huge plus. Lodge is constructed of individual adjoining one-room cabins which was great and added to the privacy and quietness. Manchester is a great historic town with some very good restaurants. Only 15 minute drive or so to Bromley Mtn., 30 to Stratton - all mainly via uncrowded local roadways.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay there!
Huge rooms, really comfy beds with an awesome view into the woods.
The backyard provides enough place to enjoy the sun, either directly at the river or a bit more above.
The hottub was the cherry on top and made the stay perfect!
The location is also very nice: 5' from manchester center and 5' from the nearest hike - perfect!
Would love to stay there again
Breakfast was simple but excellent quality. Room was a good size and very comfortable. There was a thunderstorm the day we arrived which took out half the power in the town but the staff were very helpful changing our dinner reservation to a restaurant that had power. Manchester is a delightful place which is well worth a visit.
The location was perfectly situated in the town. There are many small restaurants within walking distance and a full grocery store right across the street. The staff was very friendly. The entire hotel looked brand new despite being 5 years old.
Clean comfy room, nothing fancy, but nothing was wrong with it. I hate hotel rooms where you cant immediately access the outdoors and this one has that and a lovely view when you open the door. Great location.
Nice hotel.Very central with easy walk to shops and restaurants.Probably the most affordable hotel in the area.
Nice complimentary breakfast and lovely indoor pool.
Rooms and bathroom large and very clean
Our two suites were extremely nice. Breakfast was handled very well for the covid situation. Dinner was magnificent. Clearly this is the best place to stay and to eat in the Manchester area
Booked a room with fireplace. It did not work and they knew for a few months it didn’t work. Staff tried accommodating but could. That’s the reason we chose that hotel.
Love the old school vibe of this large hotel with a huge indoor pool facility and outdoor hot tub. Fab with the kids as don’t have to leave the hotel. Just relax.
The room was quite nice and clean. The view from the room over to the mountains was lovely. The town of Manchester is lovely, and has some good restaurants
