The breakfast was well-prepared and presented. I liked that the order was taken the night before, so everything flowed more smoothly. There was enough variety to satisfy both my wife and I. It was nice to have choices about time, too. The staff members were very friendly.

The chain restaurants in the area were very bad.
The chain restaurants in the area were very bad. I wish I went to more local spots but they weren't as easy to get to with kids. Frank Loyd Wright houses in the area are great and totally worth checking out. Fort Necessity is pretty cool to see. I definitely recommend watching the video at the visitor center as the fort isn't that thrilling without context. Two major problems.
Two major problems. When I first got there, the room rate was correct but I was informed that I had to pay a $200 security deposit. Nowhere was this ever mentioned prior to my checkin nor was there any indication of this on their website. Since it was too late to cancel, I had no choice but to accept this. The inside lock on the door to my room was no working. Didn't line up. Reported it in the morning but not sure if the person at the desk ever reported it or not. The annual pilgrimage at Mount Saint Macrina is always a great experience. Everybody who comes once always comes back. More volunteers are needed to help the nuns prepare for this annual event and they have a nice Super 8 to stay at!

Selection of places to eat is nice & minutes away from where you stay. Shopping is the same all within minutes of hotel Take a drive through the mountain & see all the attractions. You will enjoy a peaceful & fun time in the beautiful mountain area. Getting around is fairly easy. Just avoid toll roads when possible. Food & service at Texas Roadhouse were both very good. Recommend going If you stay at the Hampton Inn you walk next door. Recommend staying at Hampton also.AAnonymous
