The breakfast buffet was good and different each day of our stay. I wanted a place that was super close to our attractions (American Dream Mall) and this property was in perfect location! The rooms were clean and the staff was really friendly!

East Rutherford Homewood Suites Hotel: Large, clean suite for week-long stay. Very comfortable, working air-conditioning. Fantastic, hot breakfast as well as coffee, tea, fruit, yoghurt, fruit juice, oatmeal, bagels, toast, pastries. Swimming pool, gym, basketball court, plenty of parking. Walking distance to East Rutherford and Rutherford. Obliging staff. Bus 76 takes you to Hackensack and to Newark Penn station. The train station at Rutherford, a 10 minute walk away from the hotel, takes you to NYC via Secaucus (change to train going into NYC) or via Hoboken (change to PATH transit to World Trade Centre or 33rd Street) or take the boat across the Hudson River.

The rooms look nothing like the pictures.
The rooms look nothing like the pictures. They are dark and have hardly any light. We could clearly hear conversations in the rooms next door. Other guests were all loud the entire time we were there. I couldn't wait for my 3 days to be done.
I had a package delivered to the hotel which was opened and no one seemed to know how it got opened.
The only plus was that the front desk agent was always very helpful to us from the very start. I'm sorry I didn't get his name, but he was awesome. The location was convenient, but I would look for another hotel in close proximity the next time.

Many things to do nearby.
Many things to do nearby. American dream mall 5 minutes away has lots of activities. Lincoln Tunnel close by in case you need to reach NY as well. Harmon Meadow Plaza has great places to eat & shop if interested as well. MetLife stadium is right next to A.D Mall as well if you want to catch the latest concert / sports game.

The staff was accommodating after my initial room did not have hot water and I found out breakfast and parking are not included in the stay. The parking lot needs to be cleaned up daily it was a lot of trash and broken glass. The location is great for MetLife Stadium and American Dream mall but no shuttle services which might be appealing to future guest!

Bed was comfortable...mirrored closet doors off the track, curtains didn’t close all the way, sun came in in the morning...bathroom sink was clogged & water sat in sink....only a half a roll of toilet paper in the room....no plastic cups, no pen, no paper.....stove hood light had no lightbulb in it...definitely wasn’t worth the money!! :(

Our flight got in early and there were no rooms available.
Our flight got in early and there were no rooms available. We had to wait around because we were dropped off by Lyft and there's no place to go. My daughters and I there for a concert at MetLife Stadium that is right across the highway from the hotel. Little did we know once the concert was over it would take over 3 hours and a $65 from a guy we later found out wasn't a cab driver as he claim to have been just to get back to the hotel. Uber and Lyft kept canceling our rides and taxi's only wanted to take us to NY for more money. The temperature dropped down to 60 degrees and due to waiting all those hours with no place to sit nor water caused my chronic condition to flare and a trip inside the ambulance. We were told we couldn't walk because it was illegal. The hotel knew of this concert and they know of the difficulties people have with getting back to their establishment and should have a shuttle for their guest. Not having breakfast, the bed was very uncomfortable with a cheap thin blanket, and no stores or anything around is one thing, but three hours just to get across the street! This ruined the rest of my stay and I will never stay at this hotel chain again.

When I entered I was greeted by front desk very friendly, got there earlier than check in and they did everything for my family to be in before 3pm. Once in the room it smelled very fresh and it was clean to my liking. I’m usually scared of hotels because they don’t be clean but the housekeepers work very hard to keep it smelling good and looking good I would recommend this place to anyone, and if I ever go back this will be the place ☺️
The hotel's location is great. Close to Newark airport, New York and Jersey Cities. Many shopping malls, restaurants, cafes are close (by car).
Staff were nice and helpful.
The room was spacious, clean and comfy. So was the bathroom.
Wifi was very good. The hotel had a large car parking.
The breakfast was very good but no plenty of options.
When I want to visit NYC, I book this hotel.
Rooms are large, very cozy, and clean. They come with a kitchenette. Beds are comfortable.
Breakfast is fine with lots of choices, even if it could be improve with pancakes or waffles.
Staff is great.
the front desk clerk was super friendly and helpful....I think in terms of price your paying you are paying a bit on the high side for what a room rate should go for at a hotel like this.....overall, its a very nice place for an overnight stay
Hotel is run down. Front desk during check-in was friendly and helpful. The carpet in the hallway going to the room was dirty, worn and smelled like a a bar. The air smelled from cigarette smoke. I won’t stay here again.
The hotel facilities were decent. Kids enjoyed the kids appropriate pool and the room was big enough to accommodate all of us. The location was close to the places we wanted to visit.
Great location in Rutherford. Close to American Dream and NYC. Stay on floors 15 and up as the hotel is under renovation and below floors are extremely old.
