As the gateway to the Glacier National Park for both winter and summer activities its a great location. The downtown area has been preserved with great restaurants and bars and the local Great Northern pub is perfect for a friendly beer to watch some sport. Give the team at Whitefish Outfitters a call for some wild winter or summer activities. If commuting in on the train, the station is only a block from town and a couple of blocks from the accommodation options. Come for a weekend or a full week, plenty to see and do.

We loved the many river parks on Whitefish River and dog-friendly moderate hikes. The alpine slides were very fun too. Beautiful mountain town with lots of opportunities for hiking, boating, swimming, and mountain biking.

There were a lot of restaurant choices all within walking distance of each other. Town was very nice with parks, hikes, and rivers to explore. Very nice place to start your tour of Glacier National Park.
A lovely hotel the views of the lake from the main building and bar area were spectacular. it is a very large hotel lots of rooms spread out. the rooms themselves were very large and spacious bed's comfortable all amenities included - the gas fireplace in the room is a lovely theme touch.
the meals in the restaurant and breakfast were amazing and reasonable price. we were there when they had live music on both nights that were fantastic so that was an added bonus both musician were outstanding and engaging with the audience
You can’t beat the location, and the inn is charming. We prefer boutique hotels to traditional bed & breakfasts, and the Farmhouse Inn is a nice combo of both. All of the following work well for us, yet you should know and be prepared for the these things, which aren’t for everyone: there is no lobby or staff onsite; you’ll get a code to access exterior and interior doors; there is no daily housekeeping. Parking is free and right out back. The food at the restaurant is really good!
An excellent location. It’s owned by the same people as the Firebrand across the street and the Whitefish Lodge, so you can take their Shuttle to the lodge and, for instance, leave your luggage at the Firebrand while waiting for the train. The beds were very comfortable and sparkling clean, the bathroom was nice and clean. Plenty of towels. But the best part is it is a fraction of the price of the neighboring hotels.
The house was decorated nicely and was very comfortable for a family stay. The fenced back yard was great for our dogs. The location made for easy access to Whitefish and Glacier National Park. There were lots of amenities and kitchen items for use during the rental. We enjoyed star gazing from the porch at night. Off street parking is also available.
Our stay was excellent! Some places that say they’re pet friendly are really just pet tolerant, with little thought put into making things convenient for people traveling with their pets.
Not so at the Pine Lodge! So easy, convenient and welcoming to pets and their people!
And super clean and comfy to boot!
The breakfast was wonderful. Not a large variety of items but those offered were delicious. Far better than the average breakfast provided by hotel chains. The staff was kind, friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay again if travels brought us to this part of the country in the future.
this hotel was amazing ! a quick walk to downtown and Amtrak station! clean and comfortable with a modern look. there is a reading nook to relax in the hotel that isn’t in your room as well as a wood fire sauna outside. free coffee at the front desk and can purchase waffles that are delicious.
Duck inn lodge was great, location walkable to the centre of whitefish with stores etc nearby. The staff were amazing, always there to help, great choice every day for breakfast and rooms were good, balcony was a great spot to catch some early morning wildlife.
Would 100% recommend
The breakfast had a great variety and was very delicious. The staff was very kind and accommodating. The room was very clean and comfortable. One of the best features of the hotel was the pool and hot tub.
Rooms are spacious, updated & clean. Hotel has lots of nice extras; popcorn, hot chocolate, cookies. A mini library, shuttle, heated pool, breakfast. Lobby very welcoming. Staff extremely kind & helpful.
Beautiful, and clean hotel with very friendly staff. There is a rustic elegance about it. Loved it! The town of whitefish is just a few minutes away and it had some awesome restaurants and breweries.
great location close to the station and downtown Whitefish. We were made to feel very special and loved the coffee after a day of snow activities. Make this a go to in Whitefish
The location was great. The room was spacious and well furnished. I enjoyed having a hot breakfast. And the free ski bus to the mountain stopped right at the hotel!
