The town seemed dead, although I visited in March and was not cold most of the day time but it seemed like no one was around even in the downtime. The other thing I noticed that the city is too "white", not much diversity or international community visible there. Many buildings in the downtime seemed empty and some had wooden planks instead of glass windows.

Minneapolis was a fabulous city, heartily recommend met some great people. Unfortunately the same can’t be said of my treatment by this property. Regrettably I have to write my first - in 20 years negative review on bookings.com. Whilst I prepaid for my stay with bookings.com and paid my extras (a couple of meals) bill at the hotel. When I got back they used my held credit card details to charge me for my accommodation for a second time.
I have contacted the hotel 3 times in the month since I returned with clear receipts and bank debits/audit trail but they haven’t had the decency to respond. I have worked in 4/5 star hospitality I am frankly shocked this is not how we would treat our customers.
Thankfully I was wise enough to share only credit card details with the hotel so my bank will ensure matters are dealt with but that’s not the point a very nasty taste was left in my mouth after an otherwise lovely trip.
Please take care if you decide to stay at this property they aren’t service focused and may double charge you and not have the decency to resolve.

Our stay in Minneapolis was for Medical purposes only this time. The traffic downtown Minneapolis is always busy and Google maps makes it easy to get around. Just take a breath and go with the flow. We love Minneapolis because it has so much to offer.

Should see Mill City Museum, American Swedish Institute, Sculpture Garden, North Loop neighborhood.
Places to eat: Hen House Eatery (breakfast/lunch), Tulibee at the Hewing Hotel, Red Rabbit (Italian), FIKA (lunch Swedish Museum), Crooked Pint Ale House (walkable from Hyatt).
Uber worked very well with drivers available within 2 minutes on each request. The Skyway is extensive and comfortable, but we found it confusing to navigate. Otherwise, the city is generally very walkable, but gets pretty empty in the evening for walking.

Downtown Minneapolis is great and easily accessible.
Downtown Minneapolis is great and easily accessible. Its setting right on the Mississippi River is quite something, and it's a delight to walk along the river paths and see some of the country's history unfolding right before your eyes. Especially what's left of the flour mills (Pillsbury and Gold Medal). Also, there are plenty of tree-lined paths along the river. People love walking around.
The room was super clean and every staff member was friendly and efficient! We were lucky enough to have time to eat breakfast in the hotel the next morning. The food was delicious and our waiter was amazing...he gave us many opportunities to learn more about downtown Minneapolis and treated us to his delightful sense of humor!! Parking under the hotel was super convenient and we were able to walk to every event we had planned, saving us Uber fees. I would definitely stay here again.
We came to Minneapolis for a concert at the Armory and the location of the hotel was perfect! Only a couple of blocks away from the venue. The staff was also very friendly and our room was great for the occasion.
If you're driving your own vehicle, make sure you get there early as their on-site parking is extremely limited, maybe 20 some spots, and is first come first serve. Also a 21+ hotel apparently.
Hello. This is one of the most excellent hotels my husband and I have stayed in. The hotel staff is friendly. The room was clean and warm. Breakfast with good choice. You can pass the time playing billiards or in the gym. We really liked the location of the hotel! If we are in Miniapolis, we will definitely stay at this hotel!
Sincerely, Lana and Paul Pausig.
The location was excellent for getting around Minneapolis. The urban setting with the river, trees and paths was special. The furnishings will unqiuely retro, well-cared for, and very much like my favoriate places in Europe. The staff were welcoming and responsive with a sense of humor. The food was interesting and delicious in how the ingredients were combined.
The property was in a great location and was reasonably priced for being downtown Minneapolis. The room was stylishly furnished and they did a great job renovating the property. We had a small mishap with the faucet but the host was really responsive. It was helpful that it was completely keyless.
Hyatt is by far one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The rooms are immaculate, the staff is amazing, the breakfast was top notch, and to top it all off it is in an amazing location! My fiancé and I prefer Hyatt everytime we stay in Minneapolis and pretty much refuse to go anywhere else!!!
The location, the access to the light rail routes, the university ambiance. The hotel staff were very busy, but tried their best to be helpful during our stay. The staff at the restaurant (The Beacon) were very nice and accommodating. The Starbucks on site was also a plus.
Nice and quiet, clean, spacious rooms, wonderful coffee, loved having a water pitcher and RO water available, attached restaurant was convenient and very convenient location. Would absolutely stay again. Very few hotel’ downtown have pools and this had a great pool area!
Location is absolutely perfect: the whole downtown area is perfectly accessible on walk and the area looks safe. The hotel is new and everything looks nice. Some of the staff members are very nice and willing to assist you.
Nice location in Downtown Minneapolis. The studio apartment is very nice and equipped with everything you need. The studio was clean and we really enjoyed the amenities (mainly the gym and the hot tub on the top floor).
Beautiful old building in the centre of Minneapolis. When the front door closes an immediate respite from the noise of the city outside. Feels like you’ve been transported to a more peaceful time.
It was very clean and a very nice hotel. The staff was nice, and the location is decent, being close to highway and downtown. Plenty of parking, there and also across the street.
It wasn't my choice to reserve the hotel.
It was a last minute thing.
I think it's bullshit that they charged me the full cost of the room as a no show fee. 😒
