This is a great location. We loved being able to walk to the ski lifts and restaurants. The bed was comfortable and the kitchenette was handy for making meals. We had great skiing weather, but if we did not, there was a heated outdoor pool and hot tub we would have enjoyed. Our young daughter appreciated the Disney decorations.

My husband and I just returned from a 2 night stay at The Yankee. We absolutely loved every aspect of this wonderful hotel. The front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable. You could tell that cleanliness was a priority. The room was large and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. Breakfast, which was included, was very good and there was even the ability to have a freshly made omelet. My husband and I love a good hot tub and pool. The pool was the perfect temperature as was the hot tub. Many times you go away only to find a cold pool and a lukewarm hot tub. Not here. They were both perfect. Location is good, service is good, and the facilities are wonderful. We will be back and when we are in the area will not stay anywhere else.

It had a beautiful checkin lounge that overlooked the indoor pool that overlooked the mountains. Our condo was very well decorated, cozy with a fireplace, and very well cleaned. It was very comfortable and felt homey on a cool autumn stay. We ate at a nearby resort in one of their restaurants. I would had made reservations to eat dinner if I knew it would had been hard to find food without driving a ways.

My family has been visiting the Hancock area multiple times a year for the past twenty years. Hancock offers something for every season. Our favorite family spot is Ioka Valley Farm and Mount Greylock Bascom Lodge. Other places to visit in the area are MassMOCA, Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum, Marble Quarry in Adams, The Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, Tanglewood, Norman Rockwell Museum, The Red Lion In, Barrington Brewery, Butternut Ski Resort, and so much more.

Hancock is far from the theaters that we visited in Lenox, Pittsfield, and points south. But it is more scenic to stay in than the the lower sections of the Berkshire area, and has quicker access to Williams College, the Clark Museum, North Adams and its museum and other attractions and Mt. Greylock. If you don't mind the extra 1/2 hour to 1 hour driving each day, it's certainly more scenic.

Had to travel some distance to reach a grocery store.
Had to travel some distance to reach a grocery store. There were a few dining options. Very limited at the resort. Disappointed that we got to the one restaurant supposedly open and we were turned away, being told the kitchen was closed. The Hotel Staff had told us different hours. It appears that some local restaurant had closed possibly because they could not stay in business. When we found a grocery store in an adjacent town about 15 minutes away - we went first to a Walmart and were shocked to see nearly empty food shelves. Really strange! Never experienced this. At the other end of the shopping center was another very nice grocery store.
We were traveling with a large group with multiple families, each with their own requirements (one family required accessible, and another family required a pet friendly room). The resort was able to accommodate all the requirements. Depending on what you are planning to do, the resort “can be” conveniently located. We visited the Berkshires with the intent to check out Jiminy Peak’s Adventure Course which opened Memorial Day weekend. It is a 4 minute drive down the road.
The location was great for our purposes which was to be near both Williamstown and Lansborough. We were glad to have John Harvard restaurant as it poured while we were here so we didn’t have to go out for dinner. There was no breakfast at this time.
I did not know there was breakfast..wish I had.
We love the pool and hottub and homey feel of the apt...so much nicer than a hotel room. Great location for going any direction in the Berkshires or Adirondacks.
Accommodations were clean, roomy and tasteful. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Speciation the full kitchen. Took last minute reservation when another hotel canceled at check in. Beautiful location.
Beautiful location and the room was great. It was clean and extremely spacious. It was more like a small apartment than a hotel suite. The guy at the front desk was friendly and gave us good information.
The hotel is right on the mountain. If you get a room with a view, it is a nice sight. You get free coffee and tea in the lobby, and free parking on the premises.
