Sonora is a beautiful small town with many enjoyable antique stores. It has that small town feeling with very friendly people around. The small hometown restaurants have amazing and delicious food of different kinds.

Mercer Caverns was fabulous for our whole family, including our 9 and 2 year olds. It was our older daughter’s favorite part of the trip. After the caverns, we had tasty sandwiches for lunch at picnic tables under the canopy of shade trees at Murpheys Pourhouse. The beer was great, and they had good sandwich options for kids and adults. Indigeny Reserve, nestled in the hills, was a beautiful outdoor spot for a picnic, giant Jenga, and the ciders were the best I’ve ever had, good gift shop, too. We enjoyed a casual, delicious dinner at The Armory; our toddler loved climbing the stairs and watching the fountain while we waited on our meal. Columbia State Park was great and a delight, especially for our nine year old.

Great place for the entire family.
Great place for the entire family. Location is right on the heart of Tuolumne County. Rivers, lakes, hiking, off roading, antiques, etc. Whatever you are into it's probably here.
Coffee at Alicia's and lunch at Andy's.

Sonora is an interesting Gold Rush town.
Sonora is an interesting Gold Rush town. Several interesting historical locations. Easy access to Yosemite, Angels Camp. Several excellent dining establishments. We arrived at the beginning of the off-season so a number of museums were closed. The Fire Department Museum was very interesting and the docents were a wealth of information!

The town was not the issue--we could not get a different room because motel was booked and it was too late to try and find another. The room was too small for the amount of furniture--dresser drawers did not pull out easily. I don't believe your agency represented this site well. Back to the town, I wish I had had the time to explore it more.
The location on the main street was perfect - made it very easy to walk to shops, restaurants and a hotel far down the street where I had family staying that were also in town overnight for an event. The unit itself is absolutely darling, comfortable and I felt very safe going in and out of the unit. Although in my short stay I did not use the kitchen for anything other than making coffee in the morning, it was stocked with regular supplies, cookware and dishes. Enjoyed my coffee on Sunday morning from the balcony outside!
Location is great, right in the middle of everything. The same owner has this and the adjacent Sonora Inn. You check in at the Sonora Inn. Per the receptionist, the motel has been upgraded (Lumberjack), they intended to upgrade the historic hotel but the Ukraine invasion caused the owner to put both up for sale for $17 million to aid their family, and I was a little short. The restaurants and bars and right across the street so it was a fun time and the locals were friendly and engaging.
Location to downtown Sonora and farmers market on Saturdays. A driveway to a funeral home runs along the unit. Also, driveway to the unit is very steep, narrow and difficult to use. Can park on the street but cars fly along this road which is busy and I'm not sure where you'd park on the street. Very nice unit and roamy. Kitchen has a nice dual hot plate for cooking but no oven or stove top. Lots of kitchen counter space to work on.
The bathroom shower was awesome. The staff was friendly in the front office. Had to do a deposit of 100 dollars on our card that is refundable but we used to be able to do this with cash but no longer have that option. My husband and I are currently living in our car and when we do have money to stay somewhere we go to the Country Inn. No other hotel in this area of Jamestown or Sonora is better for your money.
The staff was very rude after they had accidently locked me out of my room. I had booked 2 nights and they locked my key after the first night not realising i had booked 2. I am a single mom traveling alone with 2 daughters and they threatened to kick me out of my room and not refund me when I was 5 hours away from home. I have never had a experience at a hotel before. Very bad
Cleanliness, design of the room, comfortable bed. Nice and helpful staff. Information brochure about the city with interesting info in the room.
We booked it last minute on our way to Sonora and it was a very pleasant surprise. I feel lucky that we could book the last available room. Totally worth the money, I would happily return anytime.
The hotel has spacious convinient room, the location of the hotel is easily accessible from the main road although quite far from the downtown Sonora, but ideal for those who plans to go to Yosemite National Park in the morning, the dining room is spacious with delicious and various breakfast menu.
Will have the breakfast today. Beautiful and Quaint historic hotel conveniently located in the middle of Sonora. Everything is in walking distance, and there is an up stairs pool to combat this summer California heat. Great value and great stay! Thank You Sonora Inn!!
Great room. Rustic, but nice and clean. Good shower and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
People in the office were very pleasant.
Loved that it was on the main highway and easy to get to Jamestown and Sonora.
Very nice breakfast provided by the hotel
Hotel located on the main street in Sonora.
Shops and restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel
Manager of the hotel was friendly and helpful
Very nice hotel. The rooms were very clean and the beds and pillows a dream. Breakfast was terrific too. The boys enjoyed the pool after a long day exploring Pinecrest lake.
Check-in was fine and breakfast was great! I am missing my hat and need to retrieve it from the hotel. I need an email address or a phone number to call.
