This is a wonderful town. It is particularly wonderful on a clear day. I would recommend the boat-trip on the lake at sunset. There are lots of travel agencies that offer full-day tours in the region. I did one called Huilo-Huilo and it was absolutely great!ChrismateFrance - 8.0Scored 8.0

Town is small enough to go around by walking. Lots of restaurants and bars. Dining in restaurants is not cheap. Beach is nice and clean, sand is very rough though. Sandals or shoes are recommended to use. Water is bright and clear. View is nice with mountains and lake.

The hotel is architecturally stunning, laid back, always had a fire burning at the right time, had excellent food at breakfast and dinner, packed us nice lunches for the hikes, and generally made our stay a joy. It's family run and you can feel this in everything they do from the cosy breakfast through to the homely common areas and even their lovely dogs who say hi as you enter. We particularly loved the amount of outdoor space to relax, eat meals and see Villarica volcano in the background!
