Everything was immaculately clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner (Panko chicken and mashed) was amazing! Great area to walk and breathe in the fresh air. I will be back!

Lovely little village, me and my two teens stayed in a self catering accommodation. Wellness center was very good, breakfast was perfect. Nice walk up the hill to a castle, and we loved the Palace. Took a ferry across the Danube to another charming village.

Be aware that booking through Booking.com you will NOT be given ALL the details regarding price, you will be offered a good price which comes with caveat that 'taxes will be payable at the hotel' actually turns out to be twice what you're being offered through Booking.com
The hotel staff 'conveniently' couldn't speak English when advising of an issue with the shower in the room, then nothing was done to alleviate the issue.
The Hotel itself is a lovely stay but head the warnings above so you're not caught short at the reception area.

Unfortunately we only stayed shortly, but had time to taste the best ice-cream with a big variety of flavours in a local shop. We also visited the Castle of Visegrád, from where you get the best view of the Duna - kanyar.

There is not much to do there in spring but the view is pretty. The bob park was fun! The forest is also pretty, had a nice walk in there.
We visited the castle and the palace. The castle was a huge disappointment, no proper structured information about how it looked like or its proper cleqr history. Exhibition is very amateurish, here again no proper explanation, especiallynot in English. Quality of restoration is also disappointing.
Palace has a very nice exhibition but its restoration process and level is also a disappointment. They added concrete skabs in both buildings during the restoration which reqlly doesn't fit to the style and era when these buildings had their best days.

Visegrád is The smallest city In Hungary, but the same time the oldest one as well, which is a real curiosity for the whole Danube Bend and our country.
The history of Visegrád dates back to prehistory. It lived its true heyday in the time of the Anjou kings.
The city is a popular excursion destination, full of attractions.
In addition to the Citadel, there are several places to visit.
The 4th century Roman fortress, the 13th century Solomon's Tower (ie the Lower Castle), the King Matthias Museum in the Royal Palace, the Catholic Church, the Görgey House, the Pálfy Castle and the Bobsled Track.
Nature lovers can hike in the Pilis mountains.

A quaint small town surrounded by hills and greenery.
A quaint small town surrounded by hills and greenery. Great if you want a break from the city and nature escape. Tons of opportunities for hiking, nature-walks, castle-views and river-bank relaxing. A day-trip is enough to see the main spots, otherwise, a weekend-stay maximum.

The view of the Danube bend is incredible and seeing it shrouded in early morning mist was even more awesome. We enjoyed visits to local places of interest such as the Castle and slightly further afield to Szentendre.
Cosy, big areas to eat together and a nice cellar for summer days.
A perfect place for a short stay around in Visegrad before starting hiking to the mountains. Very kind owner, attentive and looks for the convenience of the guests. Really flexible and friendly and pays full attention to ensure the best possible stay. The amenities and abilities of the place is great to support dozens of guests in a special way of home setup. The place has also a huge dining area great for families and friends sit together. Really appreciated and great thanks!
We arrived soaking wet with our dirty bicycles and the staff gave us a friendly welcome. We could park them indoors which was really great, because the bikes were safe over night. The wellness area was really big and had a lot to offer. They even had laundry racks available to hang out wet clothes.
Next to the hotel is a restaurant that has a buffet at night. The hotel gave us vouchers to eat there for a lower price. The neighbouring buffet was also excellent.
It was interesting to stay on the ship for a few days. Breakfast was very good, a lot of options available, even soy milk and other healthy choices. There is a interesting museum very close to the hotel, as well as the amazing Renesanse diner.
Special thanks to the Ukrainian girl on the reception! She went out of her way to make sure we have everything. She was super polite and spoke English very good.
The room is spacious and has a balcony with a nice calming view. There's a bathtub which is great, but you cannot have a proper shower since there is no curtain, so it really depends on what you prefer.
I loved the sauna which was only 2000 HUF for an hour for two people.
Overall the what you get for the price is great and I'd recommend this cozy guesthouse if you ever visit Visegrad.
We loved the family friendly atmosphere, the pools and the balcony. Wonderful buffet dinner was varied and accommodating of my fussy daughter! The staff were helpful and knowledgable.
They allowed us to leave our luggage whilst we climbed to the castle. The bar by the pool made the best gin and tonic of our 28 day trip!
I would make a trip to Visegrad just to stay at this hotel!
- kitchen was very well equipped (except a cutting board)
- tv and AC in every room
- two toilets and one big bathroom
- private garden with jacuzzi (what was a surprise as it was mentioned nowhere)
- nice spa in the hotel with pool, whirlpool, sauna and steam bath
Buffet provided for both breakfast and dinner - varied dishes each day which were all excellent. Hotel is located close to the ferry and as we had taken the train from Budapest and then the ferry across the Danube, it was very convenient and also quiet.

We did like the location of the hotel, spa was lovely and the stuff was friendly. The room was very nice and spacious with spectacular view however they did not provide the deep cleaning.
Very good hotel, English speaking staff, good rooms, very clean, good food and outside terrace next to the water... We could even store our e-bikes inside! Op
Very kind hotel staff, very helpful receptionists. Nice buffet food. Hotel is located in a green quiet area. Hop on city sight viewing station at the door.
