Be aware that booking through Booking.com you will NOT be given ALL the details regarding price, you will be offered a good price which comes with caveat that 'taxes will be payable at the hotel' actually turns out to be twice what you're being offered through Booking.com
The hotel staff 'conveniently' couldn't speak English when advising of an issue with the shower in the room, then nothing was done to alleviate the issue.
The Hotel itself is a lovely stay but head the warnings above so you're not caught short at the reception area.

Unfortunately we only stayed shortly, but had time to taste the best ice-cream with a big variety of flavours in a local shop. We also visited the Castle of Visegrád, from where you get the best view of the Duna - kanyar.

There is not much to do there in spring but the view is pretty. The bob park was fun! The forest is also pretty, had a nice walk in there.
We visited the castle and the palace. The castle was a huge disappointment, no proper structured information about how it looked like or its proper cleqr history. Exhibition is very amateurish, here again no proper explanation, especiallynot in English. Quality of restoration is also disappointing.
Palace has a very nice exhibition but its restoration process and level is also a disappointment. They added concrete skabs in both buildings during the restoration which reqlly doesn't fit to the style and era when these buildings had their best days.

Visegrád is The smallest city In Hungary, but the same time the oldest one as well, which is a real curiosity for the whole Danube Bend and our country.
The history of Visegrád dates back to prehistory. It lived its true heyday in the time of the Anjou kings.
The city is a popular excursion destination, full of attractions.
In addition to the Citadel, there are several places to visit.
The 4th century Roman fortress, the 13th century Solomon's Tower (ie the Lower Castle), the King Matthias Museum in the Royal Palace, the Catholic Church, the Görgey House, the Pálfy Castle and the Bobsled Track.
Nature lovers can hike in the Pilis mountains.

A quaint small town surrounded by hills and greenery. Great if you want a break from the city and nature escape. Tons of opportunities for hiking, nature-walks, castle-views and river-bank relaxing. A day-trip is enough to see the main spots, otherwise, a weekend-stay maximum.

The view of the Danube bend is incredible and seeing it shrouded in early morning mist was even more awesome. We enjoyed visits to local places of interest such as the Castle and slightly further afield to Szentendre.
we celebrated our one year wedding anniversary here. it was a very unique classy hotel and stuff and the owners were just amazing. they were very attentive and you felt good here, they really paid attention to every small detail. we attended grill party also which was on the property and had an amazing time. breakfast was very tasty. hotel is decorated with a taste for art lovers and not only. this was a fantastic weekend for me and my husband. thank you Helena and the whole team, and see you again very soon:) Marianna and Zsolt
Great location very close to the bus stop. Very beautiful surroundings within walking distance of Visegrad town (going by bus is also possible), a nice hike from the citadel and 30 minutes walk from the "official" beach. Nice cottage house with good facilities and with a lovely terrace/small garden . Anna was a SUPER host - kind and helpful. She told us about the area (what to see and eat) and even helped us decide which town to travel to next.
It was interesting to stay on the ship for a few days. Breakfast was very good, a lot of options available, even soy milk and other healthy choices. There is a interesting museum very close to the hotel, as well as the amazing Renesanse diner.
Special thanks to the Ukrainian girl on the reception! She went out of her way to make sure we have everything. She was super polite and spoke English very good.
Good selection and quality of food was definitely a plus
The wellness area is not too big but it was ok for the number of guests
As a hint I'd recommend that the wellness is almost empty before 3 pm and it can get quite crowded after 4 pm
The children playing area is new and much bigger. Our daughter really enjoyed it
The hotel is small and silent. Our rooms were clean and spacious, the hotel is in the middle of the town but in the same time a bit aside. A great choice for breakfast. Wellness zone was a good place for visiting after coming home from our outdoor programme.
Lovely little village, me and my two teens stayed in a self catering accommodation. Wellness center was very good, breakfast was perfect. Nice walk up the hill to a castle, and we loved the Palace. Took a ferry across the Danube to another charming village.
Buffet provided for both breakfast and dinner - varied dishes each day which were all excellent. Hotel is located close to the ferry and as we had taken the train from Budapest and then the ferry across the Danube, it was very convenient and also quiet.
The hotel built in 2019 is a so quiet location, the room was clean the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was enough for that price, everything was fresh, the wellnes and the whole hotel was family frendly
Hotel is clean. Not outstanding but ok food . Nice breakfast options. The location is just perfect, beautiful place.
Beds were comfy but the rooms extremely hot with the heating switch off.
Nice, quite a new hotel at the end of the city, directly on the road to the Fellegvár. Big, light rooms. Staff very kind and supportive (we got everything we asked for.)
Cuisine - 10+, thermal baths - 10, nature (national reserve) - 10+, staff - 10, close proximity to Budapest, Esztergom and Szentedre - 10, value for money - 10!
