There was a holiday going while I visited Miskolc sothe shops etc were mostly closed. A nice enough toinen to voisit though it seemed a bit quiet one. It was a bit difficult to find the center of the tien when I started from the train station In bus station the system was confusibg. There were Electronic displays for departing busses but they were apparently not updated. The staff there sermed not to be too service orientedJussiFinland - 6.0Scored 6.0

We were puzzled with the city: it has a long history, but its landscape is dominated by the industry. There is a medieval castle, but it was closed at the time of our visit due to …. reconstruction! I really don’t want to see it after it is done, a very peculiar approach to historical monuments. On the other hand, we enjoyed a visit at Avas tower offering a nice view of the city plus a good coffee and drink bar. We skipped the local museum and went to Bukki National Park, which was a wonderful experience.SławomirPoland - 10Scored 10

Surprisingly great city, pleasant city center and surroundings, starting point for trips to the Beech Mountains, beautiful waterfalls and caves in Lillafüred, an excellent cave spa in Miskolc-Tapolca. Within driving distance of Tokaj, Eger and more.

I stopped in this quiet town a night rather than arrive in Budapest late evening. (travelling from Slovakia by train). I didn't see much of the town or the thermal springs but the Main Street was pleasant, with bank, some cafes etc. Good fast tram system back to the station.GGabrielAustralia - 8.0Scored 8.0

Miskolc is nice town with the castle, big market place and cave spa. There are for sure many others niceplaces, but we did not have enough time to get there. We plan to come back and dicover more interesting places.

There are lots of gypsies on the way to see and the road is very bad. People there are very poor.. if you want to go to the thermal bad, it is better to book a wellness hotel with all inclusive than to stay somewhere else..

The underground parking place was a real asset for us. The convenient location of the apartment makes it possible to explore Miskolc on foot. Finally, communicating with the hosts was easy and effective.
