Hotel Tilia, hotel in Pezinok

The Tilia hotel is located in the center of winegrowers' town of Pezinok, 12 mi from Bratislava. It offers free parking and free Wi-Fi.

Breakfast was great and the rooms were comfortable. It was very hot outside when we stayed there and the room temperature felt fine due to the air conditioner. The location is right next door to a supermarket and plenty of restaurants.

Ron De Mar #3 modern room, hotel in Pezinok

12 miles from Ondrej Nepela Arena in Pezinok, Ron De Mar #3 modern room offers accommodations with access to an open-air bath. Guests can benefit from a patio and a sun terrace.

It's hard to say anything negative about Ron de Mar (except there's no sign outside so you have to navigate by street address), especially the pricing (35€ per night in January, for a 3 day stay). It's a 2-story building on a quiet street with the first floor dedicated to guests. It has 3 rooms, 2 shared bathrooms, and an excellently equipped shared kitchen. There is ample free street parking on the block. In addition to management-supplied coffee, tea, and some fresh fruit, prior guests leave a substantial larder of groceries behind so you may find spices or a little extra pasta and avoid a drive to the nearby Tesco or Kaufland stores. With two toilets, the lack of en suite bathrooms is very minor and should not dissuade you at all (my wife was very satisfied despite "private bathroom" being fundamental to her idea of acceptable lodging). The owning family is very friendly and attentive and their Kangaroo Bar and Restaurant, two doors away, is an excellent place to eat or drink. Enough English is spoken to make our lack of Slovak language a minor issue. We were given permission to use the washing machine when we asked. During the warm months, the swimming pool and pool bar in the yard are in operation. Staying in Pezinok is not super convenient if you want to explore Bratislava. There is fast hourly train service, as well as buses (20 minutes to downtown), but the station is a substantial walk, even if you use the bus for the last several blocks. There is free parking at the station but I don't know if it fills up during the work day. By the way, Bratislava transit fares are cheap by any standard AND, if you're at least age 70, a 10 minute visit to any DLB office (findable on Google Maps) will get you a 4.50€ chip card and free SeniorPas which entitles you to completely free transit in Bratislava and, according to a Slovak friend in Svit, the entire nation. You should confirm the latter if you're going to take advantage.

Albeit I visited the town in rain, it was a pleasant walk through the historic core. I would recommend to visit the Tourist Information Centre in the Old Town Hall (where one can find various brochures and postcards), my suggestion for something sweet is Cukraren Harlekin (M. R. Štefanika Street) a pleasant spot with good cakes, a bookshop with a selection of books on Slovakia (including some in English) is in a covered shopping mall on the northwestern corner of the main square. For a nice dinner one can visit Koniček Restaurant (Jesenskeho 279/8), a short walk to the west from the town centre. Pezinok is a good starting point to visit the Červeny Kamen (castle/palace with a very interesting interior collection of furnishings, huge old wine cellars and famous Sala Terrena). One can include a visit of Trnava and Bratislava as well, combined with a vineyard tour in the vicinity. And do not forget to visit Devin castle ruins just a short drive to the north of Bratislava on the confluence of Morava and Danube.

it's a perfect location - cheaper than Bratislava but just a 20 minutes travel by train to see the capital. Pezinok itself is a nice place - it has a lovely cafes and wine' places with nice stuff and very nice prices ;). And a good access to the Little Carpathians as well - all what we wanted: capital city, quite place for stay, lovely evenings with wine and some tracks for trekking.

We spent a wonderful holiday with the family in Pezinok in Slovakia. The house is well-equipped, cozy and atmospheric, fully available to guests, and the beautiful garden offers many opportunities to spend free time. There are many attractions within 50 km, such as Bratislava, Modra or Casta ... Lots of hiking trails and green vineyards. Peace and quiet .... Sofia watches over everything - a nice woman, helpful and cordial in every situation. We wholeheartedly recommend ...

Very cozy and comfortable hotel in center of Pezinok. Room was clean and well equipped with water heater, coffee and tea, hairdryer, large tv, mini bar. Breakfast was very simple but nice. There were no pastries but we ate best pancakes ever with great choice of jam and chocolate cream. Coffee and juice were great! Next to hotel entrance is wonderful restaurant where we ate very nice dinner. We will definitely come back!!

Matus, the manager, is the best! He could not have been more accommodating and friendly and helpful. He really enhanced our experience here, helping us to find out more about a wine tour and serving us breakfast and other snacks around the pool! The place is clean and inviting and Pezinok is a lovely place to stay, 20 mins on train to Bratislava. Matus, thanks so much for one of the highlights of our trip!

The hotel itself is really wonderful. Spatious and modern rooms and in general, everything looks like new. With no doubt, our favorite part was the spa area. Although a bit small its just perfect to have a great time relaxing. Bonus point for the breakfast, it was delicious and the quality of ingredients amazing.
