Everything in Martin is so clean.
Everything in Martin is so clean. The loos are amazing compared to those in the UK. In the shopping centre there is a soft play area, for small chidren, and the adults can really relax with a coffee whilst being able to keep a close eye on them.
There is so much space. We visited a village where old houses have been moved to or reconstructed. It was really interesting and there was lots of space for the children to run around, as well as a cafe.
People were friendly and helpful, including in all the cafes and restaurants we visited. The local food is all fantastic, as is the goulash in a Czech restaurant we visited in the town centre.
All the young people appear to speak English.

Town centre very pedestrian friendly.
Town centre very pedestrian friendly. Food and coffee very good where we tried them. Sadly could not visit Museum of Martin Benka as it was closed and I understand expecting to be completely refurbished. But a trip to Strecno castle was worth every penny. I would recommend the visit to everyone.

The Slovak Village Museum was great.
The Slovak Village Museum was great. Martin was lacking in atmosphere. That said, it does appear like they are really putting in a lot of effort to spruce up the town center. It was also raining throughout our stay, so that might have impacted our perceptions.
The place is very new in nice surroundings, close to nature. Perfect location to start the via ferrata to Martinské hole, hence its name. Overall we were satisfied with the accomodation, it was a big apartment, nicely furnished, the whole place is stylish. It was spotlessly clean, and the price for the value is quite good. The wifi was working well, reception, personnel all met the required standard. The beds were very comfortable.
What I would like to recommend is to try out the restaurant, the food is delicious.
The apartment is very clean the room had lots of space and the communication as well as the location from Martin city centre is perfect. Close to shops. There are all the cooking facilities there and an espresso machine with fresh ground coffee.
Exceptionally clean and the bathroom has great water pressure. Entrance to the apartment is easy with a keybox with parking out the front (usually out the back but there was building works going on fixing up the carpark)
There are playgrounds on every corner in Martin and there are about 7 playgrounds in 5 minutes walk to the accommodation. The Open-air Museum is very-very close too, and Martin is a kind little town. It's a good place for dog-walking and there are not a lot of cars, so it's safe with children as well.
The gentleman from the staff was very kind and helpful, we were relaxed when he was there.
This flat is really in the center of the city. It's a few minute's walk to most restaurants, shops, and shopping mall.
- Some products such as coffee, salt, and flakes are available
- Netflix and a convenient TV system are easy to connect even from a phone
- Detail information from owners to get to the place was sent in English in Booking and Whats ap account
Despite the fact that we arrived late and booked at last minute, they welcomed us kindly and were very helpful. The whole building and room was very clean and beautiful. The shower/bathroom is amazing, it is on a same level (or even better) as expensive hotels. The restaurant is exceptionally well designed. The breakfast was really good.
Very very clean apartment in center of Martin good owner 👍 very modern I stay for 7 nights and I have good experience from my stay in I recommend this apartment . The apartment looks stunning and everything is like new if I come back to Martin I back to this beautiful place 😍
Huge flat in the town close to mountains. The apartment is located in the building a little bit away from the restaurant - that is so good.
Good place for 1 night for sure and maybe even for longer stay.
+huge parking
A wonderful, quiet location "far from the madding crowd". A very kind owner, a well equipped kitchen, a cosy fireplace, free parking in front of the property. Overall a very cosy place to stay in Martin.
Apartment was very clean.. All basic necessities were available.. The owner is super helpful and very friendly.. 10/10 would recommend and will stay there again next time I'm in Martin. Fantastic place.
Such a great property in town of my paternal grandparents. We were able to eat delicious meals at 'sister' restaurant down the street. Style and decor of place. Precious owner.
Hotel is easy to find and has barrier car park at rear. Quite neighbourhood. Excellent restaurant. Rooms clean warm & comfortable.. Staff friendly and helpful.
I loved that the spa was on site and that I was able to schedule multiple massages during my stay. The staff was also very friendly throughout the hotel.
