Liptovsky Mikulas is a great place to stay; the town center...
Liptovsky Mikulas is a great place to stay; the town center is excellent, with a very famous church. All the central square is such a lovely place, and be sure to look for the program: they do outside free music evenings and concerts. Unexpectedly, we have enjoyed listening to a local (?) rock group music. It was great, and the guys made "a noise"! Several restaurants are about. The attractions for kids are plenty, such as an Illusions museum (worth to go!), or a roller coaster (worth to go!) and, of course, an aqua park (expensive but a great experience for those who likes). Supermarkets, gas stations, restaurants are well available. And, you are near the mountains with 10-20 min to reach multiple mountain attractions. And, our experience is that all the roads around are very good. We had no traffic jams, and could easily travel for 70-80 km around, this means reaching famous Slovakian attractions in the mountains: lakes, waterfalls, parks.MICHAELIsrael - 2.0Scored 2.0

Don't stay in Mikulas overnigh, better find something in Poprad district and visit TatraLandia, Chopok or Besenova by car. Services sucks miserably, they are in "Give me your money and go away..." mode.

Amazing town in the heart of Tatra mountains right between Low, West and High Tatras. Amazing climate in summer, gorgeous mountain views, green meadows. A lot of things to do outdoors and indoors. Main attractions are Tatralandia, Caves and snow slopes in the winter. Wonderful bike trail along the Vah river. Hundreds of trails around for hiking. This place is especially good if you love the nature and mountain hiking

Liptovsky Mikulas is at the base of the low Tatra mountains. It is very convenient to get to the mountains and caves that are close by. Although it's a small town, there is a lot to do and it's great for kids as well.

Town is an excellent starting point for winter skiing, summer swimming in Liptovska Mara lake, trekking in Low Tatras mountains or taking a trip to awesome High Tatras. Liptovsky Mikulas itself is not very exciting town for tourists but it is surrounded by hot spa pools, has beautiful views on mountains and you can find yummy food restaurants in there. We used Restaurant Taverna Liptovska Izba.

This is a cosy, friendly small town in between the mountains. There are good restaurants, excellent places to ski, lots of beautiful scenic places and relaxing atmosphere. This is a good place whether you are travelling alone or with your family.

Ski & Snb rental are closeby, as well as a supermarket and the (free) bus towards the skiresort Jasna. The rooms are comfy and temperature controlled individually, there is a heated storage space for drying your skiclothes and there is nice little common room/kitchen with all the necessary amenities to cook your own meals. On top of that, the owner, Jan, is very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

There's a big supermarket a 12-minute walk away, with smaller shops around the corner. The accommodation is very cozy, as can be seen in the pictures. There's nothing better than playing the piano while a fire crackles in the fire pit (plenty of fire wood available free of charge) after an intense day of skiing. Small inner garden can be used for grilling/eating outside. Beds are huge and comfortable.DmytroGermany

You get everything you need, a kitchenette that is fully equipped with silverware, pots and pants, coffee machine, kettle etc. Everything works, is clean and seems relatively new. There's no problem with the hot water. If interested in skiing and don't want to go by car - ski bus stop is a minute walk away. There is a skiroon where you can leave all your equipment, use dryers for the shoes. The reception is in a hotel near by.

Located in a walking distance from the old town2, near to Lidl and the way to Chopok. There is free parking places behind the building and storage for ski boots. Modern apartment with all things a family needs, kitchen equipped very well, big bathrooms, separated toilet, more than enough wardrobes, tv with hungarian channels, great terrace. So all in all everything what you need for a great time :)

Staff on the reception is very friendly and helpful. The lady who did check in for us helped us a lot. Spa is great, the lady who does message also was great, really enjoyed the message. Breakfast has a good choice of food. There is also a grocery shop opposite the hotel and bus stop just 1 min walk where you can get a ski bus from.
