Only for those, who are looking for a quiet place. No crowd but also no shops, restaurants etc. within the village. Nevertheless, not far with car in the other villages. Sunset can be seen. During summer season there is lot of good restaurants where you can eat. In Karlobag is located gas station several shops and apotheke. In town there is post office and few possibillities where to exchange money.

Karlobag is a perfect place dor those who like and seek more adventure in the mountains and combine it with beautiful sea. I would say it's a small place more for family, or couples who like peace and quiet or just adventurers who wanna be close to the Velebit mountain.

It's great place to stay with kids, it's calm and small, not so crowded. Restaurants offer great sea food and fish for good prices (especially OK Karlobag). Small City without special spirit but on the other hand it's...
Small City without special spirit but on the other hand it's a good place for "base" to visiting Velebit. Only one hour to Paklenica and one and half to Northern Velebit. Might be also quite good start point for a trip to Una Park in BH - about 2.5 hours. The biggest advantage is that there are 2 markets, petrol station and few restaurants. There are some beaches but you need a car. Best one is zavratnica (a ticket is required 30Kn per person). During evenings might be crowded so sometimes You would better make a reservation in a restaurant. Good one is Karlobag OK and the little one near Karlobag OK but can't remember the name 😀.

The host was so friendly and helpful and even grilled fish for us! He's living in the next house and is always available. That's the perfect place if you want to relax and swim. This place is perfect to watch beautiful sunsets and we even saw dolphins in the bay :) (Just remember that the Croatian coast is very rocky, no sand beaches, you often go swim from piers)

Small kitchen includes lot of equipment, everything was clean and ready for use. Bathroom and sleeping room clean as well and the view from balcony was amazing. Owners live in same building so any question or wish were answered immediatelly. We've received bottle of Croatian wine as a gift which was very nice! You can also use the terrace with sea view and watch the sunset there. Hosts were very nice and I learned a lot of new things from them and even got some homemade nettle lemonade. Also I was surprised how good the snorkelling was at beach Trodražica - I learned that the sea around Karlobag is one of the cleanest on the Croatian coast thanks to wind called Bura.

We liked the big terrace with sea-view and complete privacy. The beach was 15 m, with reserved places and clean water. The host family was lovely and friendly. Small grocery shop is few steps, but bit expensive, you can drive few km to Karlobag to make bigger shopping what is no problem. We'd love to come back again.
