We loved how close we actually are to the mountains, also all other main activities we had planned were no further than 1.5 hours driving.
The fresh trout they serve at the apartment is amazing!
The apartment itself is very cozy and has all the necessary facilities to enjoy a perfect stay.
There is even a guest book in which guests have shared their stories, this is a very nice addition in our opinion.

I liked how cozy a small studio could be, also how practical. I liked the small kitchen setup, the table in front of the window, the coffee machine and the nice bathroom. I can imagine it would also be ideal for 2 persons (or more). The hosts were super kind and helpful. The parking spot is inside of the property’s fence and I’ve got a remote gate opener too.
I favorited the place, I will definitely book it again if I would travel to that region.

Well worth a visit if one is travelling about Slovenia. It has a nice old style town and within easy car distance are some great walks in the higher mountains. I suspect at busy times of the year and the school holidays in Europe Kamnik will be a busy place and booking early will pay dividends.

We came to Kamnik at the end of a two-week trip in Slovenia.
We came to Kamnik at the end of a two-week trip in Slovenia. We came mostly to see Velika Planina, which was worth it even if it was a cloudy, windy, and cold day up there. We stayed in Kamnik for two nights, leaving early in the morning to catch a flight on the last day. The Kamnik old town was very cool and fun to walk around for the old architecture. However, when we went (Fri-Sun in late September) almost no shops were open, which was frustrating because I could see cool handicrafts through the windows. The whole town honestly felt a bit deserted. In addition, there are very limited places to eat dinner in town.

The mountains are incredible, so different!
The mountains are incredible, so different! There's a nice historic town centre and all the villages around there are pretty and neat. You can take a cable car up the mountain which is definitely worth doing. It's so easy to get travel to anywhere you want from Kamnik so we were very happy we chose it as our base.

Great little town with a lot of mountains in surrounding. Beautiful views from the old city above the town. Soon there will be a panoramic bridge on the old town. Be sure to check arab restauranf (Tsinim), for some eastern specialties!

Charming small town, close to Ljubljana (easy access by train, bus or taxi) but handy for nearby spa and mountains. Several interesting museums. Some good bars and cafes, but evening eating options limited. Very helpful local tourist office.

The best place for nature lover: in the surroundings you could see the beautiful mountain pastures of Velika Planina, amazing mountains, valleys, a lake called Kamniska Bistrica source, gorge called Predaselj, Arboretum Volčji Potok as well as you could take a walk in the mediaval centre of a historical small town Kamnik with castle and churches.

The apartment is really wholly furnished for a typical family with bigger kids (except for a freezer). Everything was great in the house, with selective waste collection. In addition, the Host was very nice and helpful. We had a great time here. If we would have a holiday in Slovenia again, definitely would come back here! Thank you!
