Apollo Hotel Bratislava, hotel in Bratislava

Located between the Old Town and Bratislava's business district, 4.9 feet from the New Slovak National Theater, the Apollo Hotel features a gourmet restaurant.

The hotel has a great location next to a shopping mall and a central bus station. Room was very clean and newly renovated. Breakfast was satisfactory. There is a restaurant as a part of the hotel which is very convenient, especially when travelling with the kids. I would definately come again.

We went for longer weekend. With that in mind we wanted to stay close to old town to experience everything what Bratislava can offer by foot. LOFT Hotel offers not only great location. It is much more, rooms are very nice and very clean, staff is very helpful. Breakfast is very rich and tasteful. Evening fun - guests and external guest can enjoy in OnPremise , beer pub Fabrika (great selection of craft beers and great food). Would recommend to all tourist who are planning to visit Bratislava.

Everything! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff were exceptional (especially Patrick the porter). They couldn't do enough for us. We had help with parking as the garage was too steep for our lowered car and were happy to give us help and information about our stay. The rooms were perfect! The vibe was so nice and it wasn't too busy. 10/10

FAQs about hotels in Bratislava

Capital With a Small Town Feel

Charming and compact Bratislava is the world’s only capital city bordering two countries, Austria and Hungary, and centers around the beautiful Danube River. South is the modern city and a peaceful forest, but the real Bratislava attractions are over Novy Most (New Bridge), an impressive structure with a UFO-like pylon. The castle on a rock overlooking the Old Town offers the best views of it. The rock itself has a Jewish cemetery and a literally underground club.

Across the street, St. Martin’s Cathedral was the coronation site of past Hungarian kings. The cobbled streets behind are lined with outdoor restaurants and bars. The city’s specialty is treska, a cold cod salad, washed down with white wine from the nearby Small Carpathian mountains.

The main square is Hlavne namestie, home to pastel-colored buildings, a 14th-century town hall housing the city museum, and the Bratislava Christmas markets. Hodzovo namestie square features the Peace Earth sculpture and Baroque Grassalkovich Palace, the presidential residence guarded by the Slovak National Guard. Across the park is the Archiepiscopal Palace, seat of the government. All around are many Bratislava hotels, B&Bs and apartments available on Booking.com.

Before heading to Bratislava Airport, visit Kamzìk TV tower, whose revolving restaurant and observation deck offer magnificent city views.

Friendliest, most heplful city I've ever been to - but this may (or may not) be due to it being early in the season. We arrived Saturday night and left Tuesday morning. Many things are closed on Monday which meant we missed out on the Danube boat trip we had been hoping to take.

The hill top and views of the Danube river ware amazing.

The hill top and views of the Danube river ware amazing. The down is small and perfect for people who enjoy walkable destinations. I definitely didn't like the food. We visited two restaurants but at both places it just wasn't cooked properly. That is not my experience in the neighboring Vienna.

Just spent a few days in Bratislava with some friends. The old town and Castle are easy to get around. We hired a bike and went across the river where you can cycle the Danube all the way to Germany if you choose. Food was lovely and all delicacies were covered. There are some fantastic shopping centers just off old town with all the brands you'd expect plus some Slovakian ones. Bratislava is definitely a must see.

A Memorable Journey in Bratislava: Embracing Culture and...

A Memorable Journey in Bratislava: Embracing Culture and Spirituality My first venture into Bratislava, Eastern Europe, as a woman of African descent, was met with both excitement and uncertainty. However, the city's warm hospitality exceeded my expectations, enveloping me in kindness throughout my stay. Bratislava's old town, with its cobblestone streets and historic landmarks like the enchanting Blue Church, offered a captivating glimpse into the city's rich cultural heritage. Amidst this picturesque backdrop, MonDieu café became a cherished retreat, fostering moments of reflection and connection. Exploring the city's vibrant culture, I was captivated by the soul-stirring melodies of folk music and the bustling atmosphere of outdoor grill places. Yet, it was the genuine warmth of the locals, from hotel staff to taxi drivers, that truly made Bratislava feel like home. Despite the long train journey from Geneva, Switzerland, every moment in Bratislava was filled with wonder and delight. Moreover, my experience was deepened by attending the Festival ZIVOTA, led by Pastor Adeboye. His profound words and the collective worship experience reminded me of the universality of faith and the beauty of communal worship. The Festival ZIVOTA not only enriched my spiritual journey but also served as a powerful reminder of the bonds shared among believers, transcending cultural differences. Bratislava's charm, coupled with the spiritual nourishment of the festival, left an enduring impression on my heart, making it a destination I wholeheartedly recommend.

The hotel is perfectly located in the city centre of Bratislava. The castle is situated in approx. 10-15 minutes on foot. The old town is nearby as well. The hotel could be reached by bus from the main railway station. The passenger ferry terminal on the Danube is in approx. 10-15 minutes on foot as well. The room was quiet, although the tram line passes near the hotel. Air conditioning functioned well, which was quite useful by the hot weather. The room and the bathroom were quite clean as well. It is a hotel type of hostel, rooms were clean and cosy. Self check-in was really convenient and good instructions were sent beforehand. We did not see any personnel in the hostel during our stay but this was just fine for us. No social hostel environment so maybe would not recommend it to solo travelers but for our needs it was just perfect. Good location near old town but you have to climb up quite a long hill to get there. Quite affordable price for Bratislava.
