There is lots to see and do in Sofia, so it’s worth staying a few days. Sofia is a city with a very rich history and culture. Consider doing a walking tour with Sofia Free Tours or checking out the Red Flat exhibit about daily life in Communist Bulgaria. There are also lots of museums to choose from on rainy days. There are all sorts of tours outside of Sofia as well (Rila monastery, wine tasting, cave exploring, and hiking). There are also many different types of restaurants to try.

His remarkable ability to listen to even the slightest complaint was astonishing. This pocket dynamite of a man was phenomenal - his generosity was breathtaking - always offering discounts when we never asked and any problem with a room mate his problem solving skills were from Mars - so far out of this world!
