Sherbrooke has all the amenities and shopping you need. The people are polite and helpful. The atmosphere is friendly and peaceful. Restaurants want you to have a great experience with their cuisine. We were in Sherbrooke for a QMJHL game between the Phoenix...
We were in Sherbrooke for a QMJHL game between the Phoenix and the Ramparts----excellent game---high quality hockey---we had a nice post game meal at Chez Bla Bla right in downtown. Access to Sherbrooke is easy through the Canadian highway system and Sherbrooke is central to visiting much of Quebec

We just did not have enough time: there is a lot to explore...
We just did not have enough time: there is a lot to explore in the Townships and although we stayed in "Sherbrooke" we never made it into "town" but explored outlying areas and even then we did not have the time to explore Orford National Park where we thought we would hike and/or snowshoe. We spent a whole day im Magog doing the walk around the lake, some coffee, some shopping and a great dinner with friends at Alessa's! We also did a loop from Magog and explores Ste Catherines de Hatley, North Hatley and Ayer's Cliff and a side trip to the Abbey. This hotel is very sterile - it seemed to be more targeted...
This hotel is very sterile - it seemed to be more targeted for business travelers and had a sterile and corporate decor and feel. The room was a bit small. The spa services were good but the spa is spread across four floors so it is quite inconvenient going up and down from the locker room to the sauna to the treatment floor and spa reception is on yet another floor. On the pro side, parking was convenient and everything was new enough / in good condition. All in all I was happy when I left. Oh, and because of the gap between check out and check in at my next hotel, I asked if I could stay an hour or two later and they asked for $50!!!! Tacky.

Sherbrook and Lennoxville are situated in a lovely semi-rural area. There are lots of little shops and restaurants, and also some convenient larger stores. Many people were riding bicycles on what seemed to be a trail. There seems to be quite a few different bus lines too. We had excellent pizza at 900-

Beautiful city. Clean and easy to navigate in. The two restaurants we ate at, Boefish and Antidote Food Lab were fantastic. We visited a few museums and took a very nice walk in a local nature park and took in some shopping. A nice 2 day getaway !

Though the linens were clean and room tidy, it was hard to move passed the feeling of hidden or nonvisible coeanliness. I made mention at reception the morning after, as after a long journey to arrive, we were simply too defeated to have to negotiate a room change. The room (#34) was comfortable with a couch and comfy chair to sit in plus the usual amenities. There was also a nice size bathroom. The hotel was full and was very quiet. It is also in a great location to Bishop's University and for getting around Sherbrooke via highway or city roads. Nothing we did in Sherbrooke was more than 15-20 minutes away.
