Not a skier so we were visiting after the ski season.
Not a skier so we were visiting after the ski season. I would imagine it would be buzzing with a lot more people /. things to do during the winter. Having said that there was lots to do although a week later and there would have been more - upcoming events, etc.
The room was beautiful and cozy and had all of the amenities we needed for our stay. It has the feel of a modern lodge and was very quiet, though located above a bustling restaurant. I wished I could have stayed longer. The locally roasted Seven Summits coffee was exceptional, so we walked to the shop and bought a bag to take home. The location was also convenient, just uphill from the main street in downtown Rossland. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant downstairs and breakfast at a local cafe.
Clean resort with a great location IF you're a mountain biker (which we are) otherwise you won't be walking to anything other than the gas station next door. However, it's a short 2-3 minute drive to the main drag. Keep in mind that options are limited, everything closes early and almost everything is closed on Sunday. The staff here was very helpful and everything was what you would expect for a "budget" hotel...nice enough but nothing stood out.
Fantastic location given that it’s a 2-3 minute walk across the parking lot to the lifts. This is a brand new hostel with a large, modern kitchen and common areas with nice views of Red Mountain. While there were no staff at the hostel due to COVID, the check-in procedure was super smooth and well-designed.
Every single person we came into contact with who worked at the hotel from front desk to waitstaff was so helpful and pleasant. The room and entire hotel was brilliantly clean, the restaurant and bar was great along with good and reasonable food. I would totally recommend this hotel to friends and family.
Location was great! Friendly maintenance worker, Alfred,on site upon arrival was great to visit with>and I was able to get door codes immediately upon request from the property manager, Chris. Chris also was great with supplemental local knowledge of the Rossland/Trail communities.
Was my third time staying there and first in the deluxe king room, which is honestly one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in. The layout is really open and the decor is awesome, plus you have a great view of Rossland. Will definitely be staying there again, highly recommended
The beds are super comfortable with amazing warm blankets. The cabin was spotless. The host is really nice. We loved the authentic charm of the A frame. The location on red mountain was perfect. We loved the hot tub too. The fire pit and cabin were stocked with lots of wood too.
I loved the fact the facility staff treated us like members instead of like servants (experience from a previous hotel we switched from.) There could have definitely been breakfast, but we're from the U.S., so we didn't expect it. Everything was terrific.
It was exactly what we needed after a week of gruelling hiking! Such a gorgeous town and perfectly located hotel. The pub downstairs was also delicious with great service. Highly recommend. Everything was easy about this overnight stay.
Located on the outskirts of the charming village of Rossland BC, the SureStay Hotel has been recently renovated. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. We had a pleasant stay, before heading toward home the next morning.
Super clean. Comfy bed. Perfect location. Lovely continental breakfast! Easy access and parking. Pet friendly. Hiking trail into Rossland right off their parking lot. Excellent prices. Highly recommend. We will stay again.
Lovely location on Red mountain, so close to Rossland and reachable to other towns in the Kootenays. Lovely homey feeling on the inside, well furnished and plenty of room so a large group never felt cramped.
Our room was comfortable and very clean. The reception staff were great, they could not have been more helpful. The location is perfect. The Rossland shops, restaurants and bars are just a short walk away.
Great wee hotel, was a perfect location. Walked the back trail into town and was an easy walk. Super quick to ski lifts and great breakfast before skiing. Quiet and relaxing.
Beautiful mountain cabin feeling, clean and comfortable, perfect for a mountain stay. The host was very nice and accommodating. We also loved Red, the friendly cabin cat.
