We took various tours and they were all wonderful.
We took various tours and they were all wonderful. The people are friendly and every meal we had was amazing. The topography took some getting used to, but it made for beautiful views. The Alphonse restaurant is so good we went three times. The night-time ghost tour was fun and the tour to Montmorency Falls, etc., was a highlight. Sadly, the tours of the Morrin Centre weren’t available the days we were there, but the library is worth the cost of a day ticket (especially for fans of murder mysteries)!

The half day Montmorency Falls along with village and copper art tour was very good. Citadel is worth visiting and look for the guided tour (included in entry ticket). The area around the old city is very beautiful, The view of St, Laurence River from the deck in front of Fairmont De Chateu Fonteneck is beautiful, The restaurants are superb. It is good place to relaxer and spend some time. Whale watching and River cruises are only available from Mid May until October, Hence check the availability before planning your trip. Horse cart ride is useless.

Lots to explore people friendly and patient with us fools who did not continue our French after college. Food and servers very good-you won’t leave hungry. Very walkable felt safe in areas around the hotel. Lots of smiling faces. Be kind to your servers and tip as though you are at home. The exchange rate is not equal and it doesn’t hurt to e a little more generous. It is really being kind to our northern neighbors.

Quebec is the most beautiful city in North America, in my opinion. The older part is compact, and pedestrian-friendly. I suggest planning to park your vehicle on arrival, and walk! I was pleased to see that Quebec has improved the riverside expressway connecting the bridges over the St. Lawrence to downtown, and has added miles of riverside parks, bikeways, bus transit stations, and public artwork along the way. My only disappointment is that the Museum of Fine Arts has been largely closed for renovation of the main galleries.

Old Quebec is amazing to drive around.
Old Quebec is amazing to drive around. Good restaurant where I had breakfast- Le Casse-Crepe Breton. Such a good restaurant. Montmorency fall is the one to must go in summertime. Its lot of walks but nature around keeps engaging. Plains of Abraham is kind a park to enjoy in summer. Other than that, there are lot of old monuments and buildings to sight.
Best time to visit Quebec is definitely summer.
What a wonderful and historic hotel. We are so glad we splurged and stayed here as the experience was worth it. The chateau itself is enormous and beautiful. The hotel is located on top of a hill in old town Quebec in a shopping and restaurant district. There is also a funicular directly outside the hotel which will take you down the hill to another shopping and restaurant district. The room was very nice and comfortable. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast the following morning in two of the hotel restaurants. Definitely recommend.
My friend and I loved this cozy boutique hotel. There is an Asian fusion restaurant on the first floor, and we ate there two of the three nights we stayed in Quebec City. Delicious and so fresh! Our room was very comfortable and spacious, the owners very helpful and kind, the included breakfast was a wonderful start to the day, and the location was just a short walk to any attraction in the Old Town. I would love the opportunity to stay here again.
This is definitely a 5 Star hotel. Staff were excellent, room was very good with great amenities, bed was nicely firm, shower was one of the very best I have experienced. Dining room had nice menu and food. Elevator had a clear plastic curtain down the centre to separate riders, nice idea. Would definitely return and highly recommend it to others. For Quebec City this hotel is on par with the Chateau Frontenac!!!!
The hotel was a short walk to the main historic sites in Old town. The staff were very helpful with recommendations; The breakfast was excellent. Even though it was the same every day, there was enough to choose a different course every day; I especially liked the coffee machine!
We travelled in a car to Quebec: no proble, as the off site parking was only 1-2 blocks away and was very secure;
Lovely hotel in prefect location to old town of quebec. You could walk to all the main sites. Great restaurants just outside with plenty of eating options.
The rooms were clean but little tired. The mini kitchenette was brilliant as it was fully equipped with a stove, microwave, toaster, kettle and cutlery. We ended up using the kitchen for quick meals with the kids after a long day out.
We loved the location of this lovely hotel in Quebec City’s Old Town. We were close to shops and restaurants and a few blocks away from the funicular. The staff at the hotel were welcoming and helpful. Special kudos to Yan, the night clerk who was very informative and helped us with the automatic wine machine! Our room was very comfortable. We plan to return at the end of our trip.
The help desk on PHONE was very accommodating to the request. We had an issue, and the front desk person promptly shifted us to a new room, which felt like an upgrade of room. The hotel is 11 minutes walk to the old town and also close to a bus stop wherein you can take Bus 800. A small pantry with oven, fridge, and microwave exist which was handy to warm take-away food.
I loved the bed. It was extremely comfortable. Hotel is good and room is clean. Location is OK.
We did not want to drive to the tourist area because it is very difficult to find parking and expensive. It is around 20 to 30 minutes walk to Quebec old town. There are restaurants with 5 minutes walk from hotel.
The hotel was fantastic for our stay. Great location in Old Quebec close to everything. Well appointed rooms with furnishings to match the history of the building. Breakfast was quiet and very pleasant, our host couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful answering any question we had. We will be back.
In particular, this hotel where you can cook your own meals while traveling with your family was very useful.
1 King Size Bed on the 2nd floor, a bunk bed for children in a separate room, and a living room and kitchen on the 1st floor.
Location in Quebeck Old Town was good for sightseeing.
A fine hotel at the edge of the old town and near Abraham's Plains. It's an old house, athmospheric, contordet, nice. We found a fireplace in our room, in winter that's certainly romantic. Delicious breakfast with good bakeries, healthy fruits and a good coffee. Service is find and useful
Very comfortable hotel with friendly staff. I enjoyed sitting in the quiet inner terrace. Great position in the Old Port on a street with good restaurants and galleries. Access to the old town literally round the corner. We had a lovely room with great facilities.
All of the staff spoke both French and English which made my trip more seamless. Hotel was centrally located to everything in Old Québec which made everything worth seeing within walking distance. Staff was very courteous and helpful.
* very comfortable beds
* large rooms
* modern bathroom with tub
* helpful staff
* though the hotel is a 25 min walk from the primary tourist areas in old town, the nearby neighborhoods have some good coffee and food options too.
The location! The hotel was very close to the boardwalk, Chateau Frontenac, Quebec Old Town and most areas for sightseeing - it was perfectly placed. We could also get free coffee, tea and soft drinks throughout the day.
The location was great, near bus stop and a quick ride into old town Quebec city. The rooms were clean and
having a kitchenette was a great perk. Having rooms next to the people we travelled with was also very handy.
Nice art hotel with very good breakfast and inspiring ambiente; nice stay with creative shared rooms and cool roof top terrace; good located in the city with walking distance to old town and good bus connections
the hotel stuff are very nice and friendly. the hotel almost in the old town, all old town are in walk distance. the hotel has parking. it's amazing to have a parking space in old Quebec City
