It does have an odor sometimes because of the industrial businesses. (Pulp mill). The homeless issue is quite bad as Prince George is a central hub in the province.
There are many restaurants to choose from and (what I consider) a lot of shopping options.

The PG Sandman Signature was horrific.
The PG Sandman Signature was horrific. A hockey team’s bus was left running all night right outside 4 floors of rooms. Noise complaint not addressed. Hot water took 15 minutes to heat to even a luke warm temp. Only 1 elevator in working order. Face cloth in bathroom was blood stained. Toilet seat would not remain up. No breakfast offered or available. Limited parking. Language barrier with staff.

Prince George does not feel like a city to us.
Prince George does not feel like a city to us. Instead it feels like 4/5 separate communities that happen to overlap a bit. This is largely due to the downtown area which has the potential to be quite fabulous feeling abandoned and shabby (with the exception of a few nice places to eat and a lovely coffee shop called Rituals).
The various communities are pretty much like their own mini towns with a mall of some kind in the centre and so have no need to venture out of their area, and there is not enough in downtown currently to make it a destination. Though there are a few must sees like Connaught Park.

Breakfast was very good. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. When we pulled up to the location we were a bit worried about potential crime. We had no issues and the bed was AMAZING! We are going to rely on this hoe more often for our PG stays. Of all the three places we stayed at on this vacation this hotel was the nicest, cleanest, had the best breakfast and friendliest staff. Thank you!
This property was perfectly situated in a handy location for us, on the hwy, close by for a visit with my family living in Prince George. The price was very reasonable and the rooms were spacious, beds seemed new with new linens and were super comfy. We appreciated the window air conditioner, ( although a bit noisy). Room fridge, coffee and microwave.
The location is good, I really appreciate the underground locked parking, it is one of the many reasons I stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Prince George.
The rooms are always clean, the staff is always kind and helpful, the pool and hot tub are very nice, clean, and a good size.
The room sizes are Great!
This is our usual go to hotel when in Prince George. It’s reasonable priced and all we need is a bed. The pools are a bonus. The kids liked them when they were small. Now they come as adults. We been coming for 30 years. Probably every 3 months It’s weathered over time. Not as sparkly as newer places.
Good value for the money had a bad experience went to wrong hotel Sandman first they refused to give us directions even after we realized we were at the wrong place and asked. The desk clerk at the Sandman could see we are seniors totally lost.
This hotel was very clean and had a kitchenette. it had a coffee maker and the coffee was decent. it is not a luxury hotel but we weren’t looking for that. price was right, clean quiet room for 12 hours, safe area… perfect.
The hotel was great, we stay there whenever we spend the night in Prince George and always enjoy it. We feel safe and comfortable there especially during the pandemic, everything is always exquisitely clean.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting downtown prince George.
I've stayed at the coast hotel before and it would have been awesome but me and my wife didn't end up staying there for the night because of family emergency in the death of a family member
This is a nice hotel, in a central location, right in the downtown core. For me, very close to my venue.
I am comfortable in their beds, and love the rainfall shower!
