It does have an odor sometimes because of the industrial businesses. (Pulp mill). The homeless issue is quite bad as Prince George is a central hub in the province. There are many restaurants to choose from and (what I consider) a lot of shopping options.KellyCanada - 2.0Scored 2.0
The PG Sandman Signature was horrific.
The PG Sandman Signature was horrific. A hockey team’s bus was left running all night right outside 4 floors of rooms. Noise complaint not addressed. Hot water took 15 minutes to heat to even a luke warm temp. Only 1 elevator in working order. Face cloth in bathroom was blood stained. Toilet seat would not remain up. No breakfast offered or available. Limited parking. Language barrier with staff.

Prince George does not feel like a city to us.
Prince George does not feel like a city to us. Instead it feels like 4/5 separate communities that happen to overlap a bit. This is largely due to the downtown area which has the potential to be quite fabulous feeling abandoned and shabby (with the exception of a few nice places to eat and a lovely coffee shop called Rituals). The various communities are pretty much like their own mini towns with a mall of some kind in the centre and so have no need to venture out of their area, and there is not enough in downtown currently to make it a destination. The room overall was perfect with a large bathroom and full size walk in shower. Nice day sofa as well that the wife could curl up on and chill out. The cleaning staff were friendly with a good morning or good afternoon every time we passed. Front staff were also great and informative making you fell welcome. Also checking in was a breeze. The hotel close to the craft brewery and some good restaurants as well which was perfect.

I chose this one because it appeared to have a place where I could park our cargo trailer without it being in the way. That said, we thought very highly of the motel and the employee who was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. On future trips where we'll need to stay in Prince George, I will check to see if Fraser Inn is available before I look any further.

The front counter staff (Alexandria and team) were very friendly and helpful, and the room decor was very modern with hardwood floors and a large shower stall. The beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast had a lot of variety. The location away from the downtown area was actually an upside, as there was very little unwanted noise.
