There are some gorgeous parts on the edges of Penticton and the outskirts, like right down by the water, around Skaha, and Naramata. Inner Penticton offers lots of excellent and unique shopping opportunities. There are many walking and hiking opportunities, and their museum (in the Library) is among the best I've ever visited. However, there is a considerable problem with the homeless population which grows and grows. I'm concerned for them, clueless as to how to help, but also I feel uncomfortable and (at times) unsafe as I'm informed that the drug problem plays a part, and drugs make people unpredictable.

Just went there to explore some of the back roads around Penticton- OK Falls-Oliver Osoyoos area. I didn’t go there for the beaches or night life. BTW if you need emergency care for any reason don’t waste your time with walk in Clinics. Go straight to Hospital Emergency. At least you are dealing with professionals.

This is an absolutely gorgeous vacation place , love it and we go back every summer … I specially like going during their Peach Frstival, lots of activities and shows to see …. My favourite are the free night concerts, it’s a great place to enjoyed with friends and family ( even the teens/ young adults like it)
Everything is close by so you can walk everywhere, the beach and beautiful lake just steps away from most motels …. It’s a magnificent place to visit
Lots of great dinner options and most motels units have a little kitchen, you can save by cooking breakfast and lunch , snacks, drinks etc .
WE LOVE PENTICTON 🥰🥰🥰

Despite a disappointing hotel we stayed in, we thoroughly enjoyed renting e-bikes and traveling the KVR for 6 hours. Visited the Abandoned Rail Brewing Co. and enjoyed a cold beer after a long and hot ride. Also try the Neighbourhood Brewing pub in town for great food!
It was Peach Fest weekend, so the free music concert in the park was nice on a warm, breezy evening.

Touristy town with beautiful sandy beaches and a refreshing breeze. The Slumber Lodge is in a great location directly across from the beach. Everything is in close proximity and is very walkable. Check out Gyro Park (host to numerous events), the Farmers' Market and all the wonderful shopping and dining experiences. For some great Mexican food and atmosphere we recommend Tequilla Vallarta on Main Street. We look forward to our next visit!!!

Perfect location for an e-bike trip, Penticton is very central to the amazing network of Okanagan cycling trails. We did 158km in 3 days, cycling Penticton-Naramata, Chute Lake-Myra Canyon (Chute Lake area NOT recommended for cycling) and Oliver-Osoyoos. Penticton had everything we needed in terms of services and the hotel we stayed at was ideal. Most noteworthy: EVERYONE in this town (and I'm not referring to tourists, but locals) seems so HAPPY. Must be one of the most smiley-happy places. Loved our stay and the friendly people.
Location Location Location!!!!!!!!!!! We Arrived during the night and it was already beautiful, but to wake up and see it in full was amazing! Great to walk around the area, great Japanese restaurant,Koya ,right behind the lodge. Food truck, mini donuts,, souvenirs stands, right on the beach. Beautiful tol walk around the whole area. Japanese park behind the hotel across the street which was stunning!!!!!!!!!!!!
Room was very clean. A/c worked great! Friendly staff to top it off!
Would stay there again just for location alone
The hotel owner is above and beyond accommodating to the guests.
The room was very clean and had all hard floors and tile which I really liked as compared to carpeted hotels.
The beds were very comfortable and one bedroom had a separate door, a one bedroom suite with a second queen in main room.
The fridge was clean and there was a full size stove and oven plus a bbq just outside which are more than adequate for storage cooking a complete meal.
The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The bed was comfortable, and despite being on the main drag in Penticton, the hotel was very quiet at night. Perfect location for us - very close to family we were visiting and right across from the mall. The hotel is being updated a bit, but it's still very no-frills - a good budget option.
The location of this hotel is right across from the beautiful beach! The staff were very accommodating and even provided an upgrade at no additional charge and were very friendly. Being new to the area, they were quick to share local maps and resources too. I will be back next time I am in the area! : ))
Right across the street from the beach. Best location in Penticton. Recently renovated rooms,, kitchen is very handy, ICE COLD A/C!!! Having stayed at most hotels in town, this is WAY better than Sandman and location is better than other chains. Definitely would stay again.
The friendly staff , the knowledgeable staff on Penticton and amenities , clean ,comfortable , , really liked the large size shower and extra towels in the bathroom. and the location and proximity to the beach and restaurants was great and convenient .
The location was perfect, right on the beach, everything is steps away including the farmers market, restaurants and pubs, dog beach, art gallery, main street shopping. Its all right there. The view is spectacular and the beds were super comfy.
Location was amazing loved the amenities. Pool was very nice and well maintained. Love the kitchenette it was very cute and the room was reasonably priced. Quiet roads at night and one of the best prices for the best value motels in penticton
Wonderfully modernized/updated old motel. Thoroughly modern, without the feel of being in a big "chain" hotel. No need to go to an office/reception desk; access to the room was by a door-lock code provided in advance to our phone.
Very friendly service. Very helpful and accommodating . nice place clean for a 2 star hotel, doesn't smell musty, or strong cleaning solution. I liked it better than most 3 star hotels, will stay again.
great location. older place, but very clean and comfortable.
seemed a little pricey, but it’s in Penticton, as well as an excellent location, it’s understandable.
Rowena and Fred were wonderful. We enjoyed our visit with them, the food taste and presentation was wonderful.
We would pick their place next Penticton visit.
