FAQs about hotels in Montreal

A Blend of the Urban and the Outdoors

Montreal is the second largest city in Canada and the entry point to Quebec province via Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport. Montreal truly has it all. Divided into East and West by Boulevard Saint-Laurent, there are several districts to the city, each offering a distinct atmosphere.

Downtown is best explored on foot, as you weave your way through skyscrapers and visit museums such as the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. In the winter you can steer clear of icy paths by heading underground to the passages of the Underground City, full of shops, movie theaters and food courts.

From there, the metro will conveniently take you outwards in any direction you might want to go, from the historic Old Montreal to the hip café and restaurant culture of the Quartier Latin-Le Village.

In summer, stay closer to the historic quarter and head outdoors in Parc Jean-Drapeau on the St. Lawrence River islands of Île Sainte-Helen and Île Notre-Dame. If the weather isn’t good enough for rowing, water-skiing and beaches then head to Montreal Casino.

Whether you’re visiting for festivals or fashion, gastronomy or culture, with over 190 hotels and B&Bs with Booking.com you’ll find your perfect home away from home.

If you are a nature-person, please go to visit there and have some trails there! Bagel in Montreal is the best, I personally like the bagels in Montreal more than New York City haha~ There are 2 bagel stores, I love St-Viateur, the staff there are super friendly and nice, they even invited me to take photos with those bagels hahaha

    Wonderful people. Great food.

Wonderful people. Great food. I loved the Metro - fast clean and convenient. I got to practice my French language and when I stumbled I went right into English. The residents were courteous and patient. I plan to return. There were many restaurants we missed. We used Uber a few times. No problems. We went to a really neat farm market. We dined for lunch at the top of the RBC bank building - Sushi. View spectacular on the 46th floor. A favorite spot for dinner or drinks was the L'orignal at 479 St. Alexis Street Montreal. Sit at the bar. Michael the owner is a most unforgettable character.

Old Montreal is a safe, clean city with plenty to see and experience. We were able to easily walk to downtown and used the hop on hop off bus to see all the attractions. We took the Metro to see the biodome that we all enjoyed and did an all day bus trip to Quebec city that was wonderful.

Montreal is a welcoming, inclusive and vibrant city.

Montreal is a welcoming, inclusive and vibrant city. It exceeded my expectations. Getting around Montreal was quite easy. UBER is accessible and cost-effective and it is a walkable city. Old Montreal is much like being in Europe and is worth the time. I would avoid the Hop On/Hop Off and book a more informed overview of the city. The Aura light show at the Basilica is well worth the time and money and the Walking Tour of Old Montreal with Marie as a guide was terrific.

The hotel was a great deal for anyone looking to travel on a budget and be close to downtown and the best highlights of Montreal. It was my first time staying in a hostel abroad and it allayed my fears. I stayed in an all-female room of 12 and it was super safe and clean all the time. The jacuzzi on the roof is amazing and the staff were friendly and multi-lingual. I even extended my stay one extra day. I would 100% recommend this place to friends, solo travellers and especially female solo travellers.

This was our second time there. This time we went with our 9 and 17 year daughters. The hotel is multidimensional, meaning my wife and I could separate from the kids in the evening and enjoy a nightcap in the lounge. Or, the kids could explore the pool and facilities. This hotel is conveniently located next to a RESO( Underground city), St Catherine, and the rest of downtown and Old Montreal. Parking is also available on the premises.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. It's only a short walk from the Old Town and Old Port, but also only a few steps from Downtown and the central station. The bus to the airport (#747) stops also very close by. The hotel is nice and clean, the room and bathroom are spacious, the bed is comfortable. I'd say the price-quality is good and a decent buffet breakfast is also included in the price. Friendly and helpful staff.

The bed is clean and comfortable. The room is clean with hardwood floor and ceramic tile. It was quiet at night considering its situated right downtown. I'm quite happy with my stay. Stayed for a night to visit my mom at the hospital and this is exceptionally located to both the Jewish General and Saint Mary's. The interior was such a pleasant surprise, quiet and spacious rooms. Very homey feeling.

Good location in relation to downtown Montreal. The room was small (with the shower cubicle next to the bed) but it provided all of the facilities we needed. Would suggest checking the layout of your room depending on who you are travelling with.
