Our stay was far too short to enable us to see much of the area. However, what we noticed as we drove in was the cleanliness and pride of ownership. Our choice to stay at Bruin Oceane was well rewarded. The proprieter, accomodations and breakfast were phenomenal. We had dinner at The Bunker. The service and food were very good and the sunset over the water was spectacular.

A beautiful place, right by the beach, people are friendly.
A beautiful place, right by the beach, people are friendly. The restaurants are very good. The sunset viewed on the bench swings facing the water is a dream everyone should experience at least once in a lifetime! The best seafood restaurant is a little place that opened a few months ago and it is called Le Bistro du Capitaine. I would highly recommend it. Getting around is a breeze :)

My dinner ( grilled chicken) was delicious and the portion were generous. Breakfast was a buffet style and again there were many choices to suit my needs In both cases my husband who does not need a special diet, was also very pleased with food choices, taste and portions. The hot tub has a view over the seafront too, as does the sauna. Outdoor pool wasn't open yet when I was there but looked nice. Hotel is walking distance from the centre of Matane.
