The city of Kelowna is beautiful and has everything a traveller should need. Beaches, many Restaurants and hotels down town with a great variety within walking distance, many shops etc. But prices are very expensive there for everything. A vehicle is a must to get to most attractions because it is spread out. Many vehicle rental companies at the Airport, and some bike rentals down town. I did notice some boat excursions trips offered but I didn't use. Taxi is available but I didn't need any because I had a rental vehicle

I personally live in Kelowna but my home was sold to developers and have been basically homeless for 4 months so that’s why I’ve been staying at hotels.
Kelowna is a nice place , just living here is tough . Years ago they called Kelowna “Canada’s Hawaii” because of our beautiful weather. Getting around Kelowna is easy I would say . Traffic is crazy in the summer with only one bridge in and out of town towards Penticton or Van .

Just an overnight stay on the way home.
Just an overnight stay on the way home. Airport a mess with expansion construction. Long walk to shuttle, need to improve this, I have a disability and made it very difficult. Also no airport restaurants open late, nowhere to eat if you arrive on a late flight.

Kelowna is absolutely beautiful and inviting it has all the right qualities and attractions to make anyone feel comfortable and welcome in our community. The views that surround you are breathtaking and there’s a beach or creek within a half mile to mile radius of you almost anywhere in the city. Walking paths and hiking trails are also of abundance here and there is no shortage of places to explore. Kelowna is a beautiful city and definitely worth putting in your vacation budget. Make it a big budget too a sit is a luxury that you pay for as prices are on the higher end of the markets

I lived in the area for many years and other than during wildfire season, the entire region is spectacular. There is so much to do, all year round! There are 5 or 6 top notch ski resorts, more wineries, golf courses and camp grounds than you can count, and the lakes have amazing beaches - especially Kal Lake which has a tropical feel mid-summer.

Pleasant city with lakeside beach and other green space.
Pleasant city with lakeside beach and other green space. Like most places of its size in North America you really need a car to get about, though downtown area near beach is pleasant to walk around. Good views from Knox Mountain, and good exercise climbing it.
Very clean, modern rooms. Comfortable beds and quite spacious bathroom (for a hotel room). It was my second time staying here and both stays were satisfactory.
Breakfast is very convenient. Great selection, just make sure to come early. It does get busy and they're trying their best to keep up with the demand (they ran out of eggs 3 times during 30 minutes).
Apparently there is an indoor pool with a hot tub somewhere in the hotel, but I haven't made it there yet. Hope to try next time.
For a single night before taking a flight from YLW, the rooms in the residences are the best value in Kelowna. Ours was pristine clean. The bed was comfortable. There were small hotel amenities like shampoo/conditioner, soap & coffee.
The check in location was easy to find with Google Maps. We received a campus map to help with parking & residence bldg. check in-out flawless. These are campus rooms. Everything you need is there. It’s not luxurious. It IS incredible value at $140/nt.
Room was very clean. Staff were friendly. Location was great for us: 2 km to downtown area and 3 km to hospital (reason for stay). Lots of restaurants in area and a mall across the street that had a grocery store. Also a convenience store on same block. Parking lot was big and contained a Ricky's Restaurant and a Starbucks. Guests of the hotel get a 10% discount at Ricky's. You can walk or drive to the downtown area easily down Bernard Avenue and see many heritage houses.
Quick check-in, friendly staff throughout. Nice spacious room. Comfortable bed and pillows. Big tv. Small fridge for your own food/drinks.A small microwave.Pool and hottub are a nice bonus. Breakfast is good enough. Lots of parking. Good central location in Kelowna. There are a couple restaurants and a pub within 10 minutes walk. This is also a pet friendly hotel. I feel this is a good 3 star hotel with 4-5 star ratings.
The location was perfect - close to the wedding venue, easy to get to the airport (we made a couple of trips to pick up family) with access to shops and restaurants. Our children were meeting us in Kelowna and this was a great opportunity for us to stay together. They took advantage of the property amenities. The unit was well equipped…
This is our favorite place to stay in Kelowna. The Coast Capri is located a short drive or nice walk from downtown restaurants and amenities, it is attractive and nicely renovated, clean, comfortable, safe, has free on-site parking and, best of all, the front desk staff are always friendly, remember us, and give great service.
We liked the location right by the waterfront of Kelowna - and the decor made the hotel feel different from other hotels in the area! The beds were comfortable, the room was spacious and the road wasn't as loud as we thought it might be when we first arrived. It was nice to have parking on site and a friendly front desk host.
Location was great, super convenient with the shuttle service for our early morning flight. Pet friendly so our cat and dog were welcome and they even provide dog “scoop” baggies for when we took our dog outside. Very friendly staff. Super clean and modern room with a nice big shower. Very clean hotel and room and bathroom.
Good value for the price. I have always stayed here in the past whenever visiting Kelowna. By no means its a 5 star hotel but we greatly enjoy the less, quieter places. Also the pool and jacuzzi are always a great spot to relax and see the view. Close to many amenities and beaches. Rooms and beds are super comfortable.
Newer building so everything seemed up to date. Pretty standard hotel room with all the things you'd need including mini fridge and microwave. Was great having the pool/hot-tub area to relax in after a long day hiking. Location was conveniently close to the intersection of the two highways in Kelowna.
The breakfast was very good - the best French toast I've ever had! The pool area is very nice. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was very good. The owner and her son-in-law looked after us very well under difficult circumstances (Kelowna being shut down thanks to forest fires)
The staff were very helpful and accommodating. I can honestly say that every member of staff that we encountered were exceptional. Loved the pool and hot tub. The hotel is starting to show it's age and needs updating but overall our stay was one of the best we have ever experienced.
Great hotel. Great decor. Great amenities and always clean. Just wish it wouldn’t be 300$ for a room that cost max 150$. But oh well is it Kelowna after all and the price are always so much more than was it really is! Overall good though!
The location is great if you need to take an early fight out of Kelowna. It has all the basics for a quick stop before going to the airport. We really appreciated the shuttle to and from the airport.
Beautiful, comfortable condo in a great location. Also great view. The bed was comfortable and we felt right at home. Perfect place to stay in downtown Kelowna.
It was very quiet and the array of restaurants on the ground floor was extremely convenient. The bus service from the front to downtown Kelowna is great.
