I had booked a queen room that turned out to be overbooked and was upgraded to a king suite. It was really comfortable, had everything I needed including a microwave. The hotel is on the older side but has some upgrades like heaters and the bed. The bed was so comfortable. Not too soft, not too firm.
Featuring an indoor swimming pool and hot tub, this hotel offers two on-site restaurants and complimentary bikes for rental.

Great value as we were on our way from Vancouver to Jasper. We were upgraded to a suite... huge for just 2 of us.. two rooms, 3 beds, a microwave and 2 refrigerators. Location in downtown Kamloops was perfect to walk to restaurants. Unfortunately the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed but there were lots of other options within a few blocks. Windows open to allow fresh air which I really like.

We loved that we didn’t have to leave the building to go for dinner/drinks, also for breakfast the next morning:)
We also loved that you supplied robes for us to put on over our bathing suits to hit the pool & jacuzzi!
Full on opening window @ the Juliet balcony was also a plus!

The room price was much lower than the adjacent Holiday Inn Express. Delighted to find a really good cup of coffee in the lobby when checking out at 6:30 am!

There are lots of amenities, shops, hiking trails, and hotels/motels in Kamloops so its a convenient place for travelers. The downtown core features numerous interesting cafes and restaurants, but also the considerable (and growing) presence of homeless individuals. More than anything, that just contributes to a feeling of helplessness since - how can we help them all? If you want to hike or shop without hitting the downtown, the area between downtown and the Wildlife Centre features several options and the wonderful Dallas/Barnhartvale trail system. On the North Shore, Lac Du Bois Grasslands Protected Area is great for hiking and, again, many shops and eateries. I visited Fortune Health Foods the other day and the lady in there was very friendly, it's a good place for supplements, herbs, and some international foods.

Main reason for trip was to visit son at the TRU which is only a 10 min walk away. Bus stop very near to hotel so if without a car its easy to access the town via buses that run frequently. The airport is only 25/30 mins away. It was also very convenient to catch the Rider Express Coach, 3 mins walk up the road by the Esso garage, with the route between Vancouver to Calgary via Banff and Lake louise.
In the summer months a walk along the Thompson river shoreline is a must and maybe a swim in the river.

From the mall and the Costco, Kamloops is a place for families on the go. It is, after all, The Tournament Capital of Canada. I ate at a mall food court, as good as any. Driving around Kamloops can seem a little zany at times - the highway runs through the town. I started at the Best Budget Inn - it has excellent value. Then, The Plaza has character, especially the 1927 lift, and lobby decorated brightly for the holidays. Downtown Kamloops, like so many others, can be colourful. I was disappointed to see some thrift shops closed, but, of course, it was the holidays - what did I expect ? Families need to be together. There is really nothing in Kamloops I would avoid. Even the souped up pickup truck doing a brake stand for the benefit of so many was something to see. Talking with elders in Kamloops is enriching, as usual. Kamloopians are friendly, helpful and interesting.

Ignored our emails for a certain room type.
Ignored our emails for a certain room type. Needed a shower only room. Was told on arrival that they had none left. I asked why? when I had emailed months ahead of time to be allocated one. Was told hotel was full and they did not read the email. So chose to ignore it. Solution from them was to put a chair in the bath. Well the issue was one of the people travelling could not get into the bath. Great safety by putting a chair into the bath. Horrible.
Eventually moved to another hotel which was far greater value. They had to pay the difference in room price as they admitted fault at last.

Great hotel and staff in good location in Kamloops.
Great hotel and staff in good location in Kamloops. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and very clean. Also the added bonus of breakfast which was very good. Overall an excellent stay and would highly recommended.
Super great value for a very nice, atmospheric hotel. The free drink coupons and the small free breakfast were much appreciated and unexpected pleasures. The lady at reception (wish I could remember her name--German/Swiss) was very friendly and helpful. We loved the downtown location with all the shops, restaurants and pretty waterfront. This hotel (and downtown Kamloops) totally exceeded our expectations. Thanks!
This hotel was a revelation, and we won’t be staying anywhere else when we return to Kamloops. The best feature of any hotel is the beds, as these were large and very comfortable. Even more impressive though were the staff. Every staff member we encountered (front desk at both check-in & check-out, housekeeping, restaurant) was outgoing and friendly and really made us feel welcome. This is a very well run hotel!
The bed very comfortable. The room very clean. Thermostat adjustable and not noisy. The TV was easy to use. Parking convenient. Room 426 far enough from elevator to not hear it. No sounds from party wall rooms; although, they may have been vacant. Front desk staff efficient. Looking for new go-to hotel on shopping trips and “date” nights to Kamloops. Will take pet on next trip. Did not use facilites.
We were travelling from Ontario to Vancouver driving through Kamloops and needing a place to rest for the night. We did a search/reviews of hotels in the area and this one had excellent reviews! We were not disappointed- room clean/bed super comfortable and breakfast was not your ordinary hotel fare - we had choices that included bacon/eggs. Great start to our morning.
Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Gorgeous view of the river from our room. Pool and hot tub were fun for the fam. Bring some toys or floaties for the pool for an exceptionally fun time. Hotel was quiet. View was nice. Breakfast was a decent continental with a great view and balcony. Pet friendly for $20.
Great breakfast, not overly expensive. Starbucks in the lobby was super handy. Staff are amazing. Really clean . Bedding was very comfortable, as was the bed. Really nice shower. Really nice having secure underground parking. Pool and hot tub is amazing on the rooftop. Overall excellent hotel and service.
The folks -- family -- running the hotel were lovely! The breakfast and coffee were appreciated to. We also appreciated attention to COVID guidelines. Super easy to get to, and great location. Really appreciated they are pet friendly and that our room was on the ground floor.
The room was great for a quick stopover in Kamloops. It had a very functional kitchenette- more than typical in a hotel. There was a small seating area in addition to the beds. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is basic, but functional to get you going.
Front desk staff went over and above to accommodate my needs. We had medication that needed to be refrigerated and they looked after us. Great location and facilities. Breakfast was good for our family . Would recommend this hotel and we will be going back !!!
I liked that the Room was pretty peaceful, overall. The Room's Furniture appears to have been well-maintained throughout the years. I had a really good view of the city of Kamloops, BC. It is a nice, older Hotel.
A good budget heritage (1928) hotel in downtown Kamloops. Friendly, helpful staff. Great full breakfast. Lobby is nicely decorated for the holidays. I enjoyed the vintage lift !
The customer service is exceptional. They upgraded my room free of charge. I have stayed in a lot of hotels in Kamloops and the cleanliness is far above everywhere else!
