Tally Ho Inn location was just perfect for the purpose of my visit in the North Country. The room was spotless and I had
a beautiful view of the lake. Just a fantastic stay! Thank you, Tally Ho Inn!

What we like: The space is good enough for 3 of us and the sofa bed is comfy. Breakfast is good but late comers may have less choices.
What we don’t like: It is advertised as equipped with kitchenette but only a microwave is available. We can’t really cook with just a microwave though kitchen utensils and dish washer is provided

There wasn't anything we disliked about Huntsville.
There wasn't anything we disliked about Huntsville. Our favourite thing to do if not driving around taking in the beautiful scenery is sitting by the water. Especially downtown Huntsville near the bridge (The Town Dock). Lots of activity on the water so fun to watch. There is a place to rent canoes, peddle boats and kayaks.
(We had the pleasure of watching two young men capsize their canoe. All was good. Lots of staff to their rescue and they opted for a peddle boat after that).
Last year we did the Museum and train ride. I would recommend that everyone see this.

This is our annual cross country ski trip. We love the amazing trails at Arrowhead, Bondi Villiage, and Limberlost. There's also lots to do in Hunstville - restaurants, hikes, lookouts, etc...we love taking a few days each year to visit.

The comfort inn was comfortable, clean, affordable and ready for us as soon as we came to check in. The staff were presentable and talked with enthusiasm. It was nice to feel welcomed from the time we opened the doors. If we have to stay in Huntsville again, we would come back again.

We ate at East Side Marios, the service was excellent and the food was cooked to perfection. Main Street has some quaint stores with some items made by locals. Huntsville is very easy to get around in with accesses to routes to major highways with ramps marked clearly. There are major stores for groceries, gas stations on main streets, all big box stores if you are spending summers there at a cottage, has all the necessities of big city but at a friendly slower pace.
The setting and resort grounds beautiful. The beach and lake were fabulous. Lots of Muskoka and lounge chairs with shade umbrellas. Stayed in premium cottage, Deerview and indeed spotted deer right outside one morning. Amenities like indoor swimming pool, games room and water equipment lovely to have available. The Muskoka room in our cottage was truly magnificent. Lovely and peaceful setting. Only 15 minute drive to Huntsville.
I had room 18 and the bed in there was truly comfortable. Good sized room and Bell cable, which was a plus in my eyes, especially when one of the two nights there it began to rain and I was locked in for a few hours. There was also a refrigerator, which is always a nice to have. Coffee machine also present in the room and the bathroom was a good size. It was the cheapest accommodations in the area, so you pay for what you get.
We‘re glad we spontaneously chose your cottage over the hotel. We couldn’t have done better. We found everything you could wish for. Leslie and John answered questions immediately. The house is well furnished and is a great starting point for trips to Huntsville, Parry Sound or the Algonquin National Park. If we visit Eastern Canada again we would book it again. Thank you Kerstin and Robert
cottage is on the lake shore. Beautiful lake front view. canoes and boats are available for guests with safety measures.
The public dock is quite roomy with chairs
and a gazebo. staff is quick to respond guest's requests and accommodating for an unexpected late check -in.
Location is very convenient to drive to Algonquin Park and to Huntsville.
The most positive for me was the friendly positive attitude of the 2 young ladies that comprise the cleaning staff 'Red Maples benefits from the level of service they provide to all guests. They also go out of their way to provide info about Huntsville and surrounding areas that enhanced my stay, therefore I would look forward to returning to visit.
Nothing I went to the hotel and I couldn't get checked in and had to find another hotel then went there today and they wanted double for me to stay there because it was the weekend and they were biligerant and ignorant with me and told me my money was non refundable when they were asleep and I was there calling and ringing bell at office for a hour
We had stayed at this Motel 6 a few years ago and thought it was great. This hotel has been well maintained, very clean and for the most part we were very comfortable. The staff were friendly and polite. The motel is within walking distance of stores and restaurants in the immediate area. Great room rate!
We stayed during the week of Thanksgiving, so the city was quiet. Location was very good, close to downtown Huntsville and the entrance of Algonquin Park. Lots of restaurants have gluten free options which was a surprise to me. The closest grocery store (Metro) is open until 10pm which is great.
We spent a lovely weekend visiting Algonquin park, Huntsville and surrounded area. The location is very good. The room, the pool and all common areas were very clean. The water in the pool was nice and warm and it was pleasure to relax in it after the day of hiking!
The Inn really had everything one needs for a comfortable stay: mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine, ironing board. The property has central location - it’s close to Huntsville town centre as well as to the highway.
Location of the hotel was within easy walking distance of downtown harbour area. Hotel manager was very friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. Rooms were very clean with nice furnishings.
A shadow of what it was years ago. It used to be a world class wilderness resort. Now it’s nothing more than a big corporation owned warehouse box hotel that’s an eyesore on the landscape.
Excellent homemade breakfast provided at your preferred time. The location is only a 10 minute drive from Huntsville town center. Peter and Astrid were very attentive/friendly hosts.
