The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The café next door, The Hen & the Hog, serves great breakfasts. A pleasant stay in a traditional motel.

The Riding Fool, located in an old building, has retained its quaintness and sense of historical charm. The facilities, including the shared kitchen and the bathrooms were immaculate. Our room was extremely comfortable. If we find ourselves in Cumberland again we will definitely stay here!

We stayed in Courtenay to try to go skiing, but unfortunately, this winter has almost no snow, but that's ok, it was our first time in town and it was nice, we had great food at Local and The Hen and Hog Cafe, I definitely recommend those two places.

With a stroll through the river area I again appreciated all the hard work of citizens determined to prevent flooding and also warning about personal safety near the water and on the bridge. The variety of shops is interesting. This trip we walked the river trail to the viewpoint to appreciate the Courtenay River joining the ocean. There are plenty of coffee shops, a brewery and bakery and great ethnic preferences for dinner dining. I always enjoy our visits.

The area is billed Courtney/ Comox and it was the comox area that was most inviting. Scenery, restaurants etc.
Locals Restaurant was probably one of the best restaurants and value we’ve been to in a long time.

Lovely town, incredibly clean and tidy with loads of outdoor activities in the area. We both said we would love to live here. The front desk staff were really helpful and made us feel at home. Thanks guys !
I arrived at the hotel after midnight
Very weary from traveling all day
The customer service was excellent
I was helped by the night clerk in getting my bags to my room
The room was very clean and comfortable
It is an older hotel but so clean and in excellent condition!
I will book by calling directly next time
The last hotel I had booked in Winnipeg through this site was disgusting and unsafe.
It was very clean and well equipped. We had a balcony overlooking the garden. We had a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. It was very roomy and could sleep 4 with the pullout couch.
Local's restaurant was right beside the hotel and their food is very good. The river runs beside the hotel and we had a lovely walk along the bank.
They also have a nice spa.
We would certainly stay again.
No complications with arrangements/booking, . . . everything was very straightforward. Location was very central, and easy to find. Hosts were very timely and on top of things. Suite was very tidy/clean, beds and bedding were better quality than usual; suite was quiet; our stay was much better than we’d normally experience in a motel or hotel.
Location was perfect and breakfast was excellent. Nice also having restaurant attached to hotel.
Only thing was missing was a pool for the kids. Did have to ask to get new towels. Front desk was very accommodating and were able to provide paper plates and cutlery one night we decisided to stay in.
Super clean, included small kitchenette with two-burner electric range, fridge, microwave, and basic utensils / tableware. Bed was very comfortable with great pillows. Shower had very high power. Very delicious, unfiltered Courtenay water. Cable tv! Price is best in town, can't get much better.
This property is a wonderful oasis in Courtenay. The house is very spacious and very well equipped and the garden is private, exceptional and restful. The hosts are wonderful. No cost was spared to ensure that we enjoyed our visit. The nights were quiet and the area safe and beautiful.
Our room was perfectly clean and comfortable. We chose this holiday inn because it was recommended to us and it was close to where we wanted to go. Easy to access from Ryan Road. Plenty of parking space. Overall nice modern hotel. All staff was courteous, helpful.
They are coming out of major renovations from an accident caused by a customer and the staff were so customer focused to ensure we were comfortable…excellent work by all staff we encountered
The hotel is also central and easy to get into and out of the city
Clean, quiet, centrally located. Great staff, pet friendly rooms, though I'd suggest a small welcome package when you know pets are coming, like waste bags and a biscuit, plus maybe some non-white towels in the wet months.
it’s all about location! Entering Courtney you have to pass by even to Comox. restaurants and pubs within walking distance and the River Walk is right there too which is a Must Do to experience the city
I needed to rent a room as mine had plumbing issues. When I got to hotel I was told they do not rent to locals, leaving me out of a place to stay in the middle of snowstorm
Garden House is a perfect place to stay in Courtenay. Everything you need is there, it’s spacious and oh so nice and clean. The bed is comfy, and the garden is beautiful.
