Extremely efficient and accomodating staff. I parked in the wrong area as I had arrived quite late and the staff handled the ticket without my having to worry about it. They were very kind and prompt with questions and additional needs and I really appreciated that.

We booked the room only because it said there was no cancellation fees. We got there and noticed not one car was in the parking lot. A homeless person was staking out our vehicle while we checked the room’s cleanliness. After seeing the room, we chatted with the clerk which was very rude as we asked to cancel. He said it couldn’t be cancelled and to call bookings.com. When booking with this site, it clearly said ‘can cancel anytime with no cancellation fee). I am very disappointed and would not recommend this site.

The city itself was fine.
The city itself was fine. It seems to have a lot of activities. However, I did not sleep well due to the mattress and because the room was hot. So my enjoyment was diminished due to my sleeplessness. I wish I had stayed elsewhere and perhaps I would have enjoyed my stay much better.

Beautiful city and waterfront.
Beautiful city and waterfront. A lot of street construction going on but traffic still flowed pretty well. Restaurants are fabulous with terrific food and service. We ate at the Mandarin all you can eat and Flashback was a good affordable breakfast.

Beautiful waterfront, beach, very walkable.
Beautiful waterfront, beach, very walkable. We enjoyed the Kempenfelt festival...arts, crafts, music & food. Lakefront parking is very expensive at $10.00 per hour but there is much cheaper parking at the north end (Bayfield at Lakeshore) across the road from the lake. Barrie does not have any public transportation along the lake. There was a shuttle bus running for part of the festival but not clearly advertised or marked.

This is the first time we stayed at Travelodge.
This is the first time we stayed at Travelodge. My wife and I were very pleased with the great quality, amazing staff and prime location of this hotel in Barrie. Our air conditioner was not working well in room. However, staff moved us immediately to another room. Breakfast was simple but fresh, tasty and sufficient for our needs. I would absolutely recommend this Travelodge to everyone looking for clean, relatively inexpensive, relaxing and centrally located hotel. We travel a lot for leisure and this place is one of the top hotels we ever stayed in.

It is a lovely city.
It is a lovely city. Checked out the waterfront which was gorgeous and well maintained. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance of this venue. If you have a car there are numerous restaurants to choose from, plus lots of places to shop for whatever you feel like shopping for. I will definitely be back to explore Barrie. Very friendly owners of the venue.
An Anne of Green Gables experience. The house features on the 1924 map and could be older.
The large, quiet and slightly overgrown garden,
The walk Into town down Bayfield . Barrie is a good place for a meal or a drink
The longer walk (about 2 miles) by the bay to Allandale Station and the slow scenic train ride to Union Station in downtown Toronto (and back) , much better than going by car.
Lots of Renovations going on and the dust is terrible….pretty sure Health Canada would close the hotel in its current condition. My 3 year old would not stop coughing and sneezing…the building is old so I was just thinking “ I hope there is no asbestos we’re breathing”
Staff were super efficient, welcoming and attentive!
Very easy to locate this hotel from both directions on the highway. Made staying here the perfect rest stop for our day trip to Toronto and returning after our event. The breakfast was fantastic. Several options which made it great for the different members of my family to find something they'd eat.
I loved how accommodating the staff was. In our original room we ended up finding ants and when it was brought up to the front desk staff, they immediately switched us to a new room. I also ended up leaving my airpods at the hotel and I found the staff went above and beyond to help me retrieve them.
The staff - especially the morning front desk lady! Top notch - we stayed 2 nights previous at your neighbouring hotel and your front desk morning lady is leagues ahead in customer service. The breakfast, water machine, comfy beds and pillows, and did I mention the staff were great.
The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was large, with separate tub and shower. The location was convenient, though there is obviously a lot of road/sidewalk construction work going on all over Barrie these days, as there was at the end of this street. Lots of parking.
This outwardly "convenient, well appointed, typical nice place to stay near Barrie" hotel is a hidden gem. The place and the staff led by Tone are first rate friendly... great unexpected travel experience ... I shall return!!!
This is my second time in this hotel,
Staffs were friendly, quick check-in and Check-out.
Breakfast is up to our expectation.
The room size of deluxe queen Room with jetted hot tube is Large.
The location was good and breakfast was pretty good especially in comparison to other continental breakfast at other hotels so I would say it gets an a rating
Staff were very helpful and excellent in their service. Very welcoming and supported us with navigating around Barrie. Also gave us tips to shop around.
