The room was nice and clean, with an amazing view of the mountain and forest. We absolutely loved the location: of course, it is remote, but an opportunity to wake up and immediately be on the slopes the first thing in the morning could not be beaten. The level of service, and friendliness of the staff are amazing - they were always going an extra mile to help us with our questions: be it something simple or convoluted (we had to use Friends and Family discount of Icon Pass for the chair lift, which turned out to be a convoluted procedure, but everybody was willing to spend more time and figure out the solution for us). "Chimney Corner" restaurant is also excellent - both for quality of food and the service.

It was a pleasant stay and centrally located although the steps were a little bit of a hindrance with heavy luggage and exacerbated the noise of other guests.

Brand new mother daughter ski duo had amazing success with SkiBig3 Banff Adventure Hub gear rental and private ski instructor. Skied 3 days. Also enjoyed dogsledding in Canmore! Totally exceeded our expectations! Shops were variety of price points and restaurants offered a variety of options. Every turn of your drive was breathtaking! My teen stayed off of social media and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery during our drives! Everyone was extremely courteous and friendly in this town!

It is an absolutely charming town nestled in a most beautiful natural environment. The people were all very warm, kind, and helpful, although interestingly, they all (but one person I met) seemed to be from the UK, New Zealand, or Australia. But the accents were great, and so were the people. Next vacation... Australia! Back to Banff... a great getaway whether for skiing in the winter or simply unwinding, reflecting, and pondering the next steps, or getting your dream girl to say "yes" to the ring.

Banff and the surroundings are very picturesque and the towering Rockies add to the grandeur of the place. The ride in the Gondolas and the walk in the snow at the top is something no visitor must miss. Lake Minnewanka in all it's frozen splendour with the cabins in it's midst is spectacular when the sun comes up. Lake Louise - a few Kms away - is also something to behold. All in all a fabulous place to spend a few days.

There was a severe lack of snow this year (an el Niño year) which interfered with some of our planned outdoor activities, and meant we had to drive to Lake Louise for decent snow. We largely avoided downtown Banff because of the large number visitors and tourist shops. Parks staff at the information centre were very helpful.

Gondola rides was closed that time, for 5 days under maintanances must be mentioned or announced in your offer, so I dont have to booked too near to location a bit disappointed..but overall we still enjoyed downtown Baff.
If you are traveling and plan to stay in Banff National Park, there are several "high end" Hotels / Resorts. The Rim Rock is one of them. It is near the Banff Gondola and Hot Springs and convenient to the Bus that runs every 20 minutes or so to the center of Banff. The Views are incredible and the amenities are super. Not the cheapest place, but one of the best. Highly recommended for that "special" trip ... great in Winter as well as Summer.
The walkable distance from the hotel to downtown banff. We felt really safe walking at night because of all the other hotel chains that were around. I loved using the arocky Mountain products in the bathroom 🥰. The underground parking was a plus too! Also, the Keg which is just right downstairs, we loved not having to get up so early to grab breakfast. They had a breakfast buffet apart from their normal menu which was decent and affordable.
Nice location for Banff town, 20 minute slow walk or 5 mins on the cheap frequent local busses that run past the hotel, the stop is only a minutes walk from the hotel. We used the outside spa which was fun, good to catch up with some of the other guests. Underground car park was cheap and very convenient, they did suggest you can park for free round the back of the hotel but it didn't look somewhere I'd want to leave the car.
Juniper Hotel completely exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect and the view from the Bistro was one of the best in the whole of Banff. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering a shuttle into town and also free rentals of snowshoes, ice cleats, hiking backpacks and bear spray. I would recommend anyone staying in Banff to stay at the Juniper hotel!
Wonderful stay and experience. Easy check-in, Hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate preference, excellent location - in downtown, safe parking lot, wholesome morning breakfast, very hospitable staff, clean rooms, access to additional facilities and areas such as an atrium, health centre. True value for money. Thank you Banff Ptarmigan Inn.
We had stayed here 3 years ago and liked it. It's been noticeably renovated since then so even better. Perfect location a short walk from "downtown" Banff. Staff was very nice, Eva in particular was just extra friendly and helpful. Loved the free but secure indoor parking with easy access into the hotel. Stayed 5 nights, could've stayed another week!
I loved the roof top hot tubs. The pool was ok too. The rooms were very clean, super comfy bed! Fireplace in the living room and a spacious balcony. The kitchenette was perfect for breakfast. The bus to go anywhere (I.e Lake Louise) is right in front of the hotel and it’s a short walk into the village or iGA. It was super quiet. We will go again!
Staff are friendly, and room was huge with a great view! The hotel is right on Banff ave and close to a gas station if you need anything quickly. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and well kept. Also has one of the largest pools we’ve had in Banff! We will definitely return!
Amazing stay, best of our Canada roadtrip. Alexandra, her husband and Esther are the best hosts ever. The bed and the room were excellent and the breakfast was superb. 5min walk from Banff centre. Exceeded our expectations in all aspects. Warm and welcoming, yet quite and private. Perfect!
Everything was perfect. Will come back.
The room was very clean, we had a complaint about a dog in a room next to our(whining), we called the receptionist and within a couple of minutes they have resolved the problem. Recommending this hotel in Banff.
I liked how close it was to downtown Banff. The rooms were clean and updated. They were comfortable. I appreciated that the hotel called me to return the air pods that were found after we called them to declare them missing.
Convenient location of the hotel on Banff Avenue. There is convenient parking. The room is quite spacious and quiet. There is a shower and a bath. The hotel has a swimming pool. Wi-Fi is fast enough.
Three things I like the most about Peaks are:
1. Location - close to the ski shuttle stop and Banff downtown;
2. Cleanness of the room and the hotel in general;
3. Quietness;
so much for kids to do. Play area was great and water slides perfect for 11 year old.
free transit to Banff Springs hotel and downtown was also a welcome bonus.
