This small beautiful town is just right if you are here in winter for ski vocation. Within this town there are 3 areas for all experience levels. In the city center there is a Tesco supermarket to buy food. There are plenty of restaurants for all. But during our short stay we didn´t find a truly Czech cuisine - maybe you will get more luck. You don´t have to worry about renting ski or snowboard equipment - they have everything. And you get communicate without problems in Englisch and German. I like Rokiytnice for not bad conditions of ski slops, good schedule of ski buses, and generall nice atmosphere that ppl from Chech Republic can create. But I totally don't get why they dont care about the commercial side of it, in teh middle of the season there are only 2-3 places for dinner/beers open, and usually reservation is required. there is place for improvment for sure!MonikaPoland

We also enjoyed a lot the whirlpool after a day in the snow… Good location, walking distance to a ski area perfect for beginners. Also very close to Hotel-Restaurant Helena where the food was excellent and the staff super nice :)
