I enjoyed the polite and friendly staff, the spa and pool facilities, scenery, and the hearty portions at dinner. The cleanliness and decor were great as well.

Close to the entrance of the trail. Self checking, we arrived late and did not have to bother anyone. Clean room and bathroom, hot water. Nice design.
With Mosorny Groń Ski Elevator reachable in a few steps, Gazdówka na Mosornym Groniu provides accommodations, a restaurant, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a bar and a shared lounge.
My only gripe is the cleanliness by the street. Lots of mini bottles and other trash thrown everywhere. Very few garbage cans. I hope this can be remedied by people that visit, live, and work here, being more respectful of their surroundings. It's a beautiful area, surrounded by friendly people and amazing scenery and nature. Let's all do our part to keep it spotless. Everyone benefits.

Zawoja is a nice little town.
Zawoja is a nice little town. There is a nice playarea for children, good restaurants, and the people in the cultural house (information) are very friendly, and helpful. There is a beautiful old church, a farm with animals (you can feed) nearby, waterfall (adventure to get to, but worth it) or cable cart (with a beautiful views). We drove almost everywhere, as I had a twisted ankle, but there are many cycle and walking paths.

A bit odd really, reminded me of rundown towns in Canada.
A bit odd really, reminded me of rundown towns in Canada.
We went to look for something to eat in the main 'urban' area and met the usual drunks that seem to perpetuate small Polish towns.
All the eateries served a very poor offering of mock 'mountain' style food: meat, meat and more meat, grilled, roasted, boiled, fried etc.
It was 33/35 degrees that day and only one place had a salad!
Very poor choice in food for vegetarians or coeliacs, if you are a vegan forget it, best option would be to go self-catering. There is a Crèperie/nalesnikarnia in the main area adjoined to a supermarket that does a good variety of food, but nowhere else, they all have the same menu with slight variations.
Thee is plenty of scenery, and lots of forest walks to be taken, but the paths are not organised like the UK or Canada and it's important to take plenty of safety equipment with you especially a high vis vest and plenty of fly spray/ sting relief.
You need the High-Vis vest to avoid being shot or run-down by middle-aged-teenagers, forty-somethings, on extremely expensive boy toy All Terrain Bikes who care for nobody but their selfs, after all they've left their families at home to come and enjoy their selfs.
wonderful host. very helpful. the food was delicious. very wide selection of breakfasts and dinners. nothing was missing. the hotel itself is very conveniently located in the middle of the town, but not in the slightly noisier center. convenient access to trails i.e. Babia Góra or ski lifts (Mosorny Groń was almost empty - you ski down and go to the top in a chair like on carousel, without any stops). Comfortable rooms, comfortable showers as separated space, not a tight cabin.
Stayed here to attend a wedding that was held in the grounds behind the hotel, beneath a wood gazebo. Restaurant is directly across the road in a separate building - which was the venue for the wedding celebrations - and is also where breakfast is served. Both built in traditional log cabin style, they have a lovely mountain charm. All staff were helpful and cheerful. Good bathroom facilities with hot shower.
Everything was fantastic:
Nature and landscapes - like from wallpapers
Great location - just 5 min from Zawoja, in a quiet and calm place
Villa - fully equipped with everything you may need, and even more
Outdoor area - grill, wooden gazebo, ample parking
Hostess - genuinely lovely, assistive, and responsive
We highly recommend it for families and groups!
First off, the room I booked was very cheap and therefore any negative comments need to be considered in this context. The property is located on in a side valley from the main valley where sprawling Zawoja sits. It is opposite a handy shop. The cheerful host supplied a kettle. As I was the only guest the 'shared' bathroom was effectively private.
I had a fantastic stay at the hotel! Everything was wonderful, exceptionally clean and tidy. The hostess was incredibly welcoming and spoke English fluently, which was fantastic. Breakfast was delivered right to the room in the morning, and it was delicious. Plus, there was a lovely pony on the premises. Overall, a delightful experience!
The room was really nice; albeit small - everything covered in wood. The bathroom looked better than many hotel ones. The location is very nice if you want to take a walk in the nearby beautiful natural park (Babiogorski)
Nice room and hotel facilities, good and various food, renovated pool, very nice saunas (4 in total) with an outdoor jacuzzi. Reception was nice, agile and helpful.
