I loved the City it was clean and well maintained.
I loved the City it was clean and well maintained. I got lost and a kind Spanish man helped me get back on the Camino. This man walked with me for 4 kilometres until we found the Camino TRAIL. Ponferrada the City should mark the Camino trail better than they have. Even signage within the city saying “Camino that way. A few other city residents did not have a clue on how to get back to the Camino. The Knights Templar Castle was a sight to see.

We loved staying in the middle of the Old Town with the...
We loved staying in the middle of the Old Town with the Castle just 5 minutes' walk away. People were friendly and there are lots of restaurants and cafes to choose from. The drives into the nearby towns and mountains were fabulous. Perfect weather this time of year and not too many tourists. A great place to stop for the many Pilgrims on the Camino trail.

The place looked brand new with beautiful amenities, and his staff was also very friendly and helpful! I would come back to Spain JUST to stay here!!! Photos from the jewel of this hotel, the rooftop terrace are attached. A glass of wine sitting on the sofa under the stars is a must!!!
