The apartment is beautiful, clean, spacious and well equipped. We loved the uniqueness of it and the huge patios and incredible views.
El Mirador de Santiago is a recently renovated chalet in Monachil where guests can make the most of its pool with a view, water sports, and open-air bath.
The scenery is great, the city is nice. Parking is , if you see a spot it's yours. Did not expect on Sunday that no restaurants were open for breakfast around where the rental was. Recommend to do a little bit more research which was my fault but I don't rent too many places for certain events . Overall a great experience in Monachil.

The hotel is in a great location for the gorge although it would have been useful to have had some directions at the hotel for how best to get to the gorge as we did not find the river walk on the way there. The hotel is great value for money with a comfortable room although the rooms are a little dated. A really good breakfast was included in the price. When we arrived there was nobody at reception and no-one came if we rang the bell, If this happens just ring the hotel number and somebody will come straight away.

You can see the perennial snow of the Sierra Nevada mountains. If you rent a car, you can even go to the top of the mountain range in an hour. Granada is only 10 minutes away by car, so it's also easy to visit Alhambra. I think Monachil is a pretty and peaceful resort town.

Small quiet town with great restaurants and bars.
Small quiet town with great restaurants and bars. Town located between Granada and the Sierra Nevada Ski resort. Hiking, skiing, shopping, siteseeing etc. whatever your heart desires can be down from there. If you like busy loud areas, that is not the town to go too.

Quaint village but nothing much going on in the evenings in Winter (Coviran/bakery/Pharmacist open) and one cafe bar opened up again at 8pm. This may have been due to Covid, wrong day or just purely lack of visitors in winter.
We booked this last minute after having a bad experience with a hotel in the centre of Granada! We are so pleased we did and we were so impressed. Everything about it was amazing. The room was so authentic and the bathroom was superb. The views were stunning from the restaurant terrace and our room terrace. Breakfast and dinner couldn't be faulted and all ingredients are locally sourced. We will definitely be back here in the future and we are sad we only stayed for two nights!
Great breakfast options available. Breads, pastries, meats, cheeses, cereals...excellent!
Miguel and Inma, the owners, were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is a lovely traditional, rustic building, very well maintained, with a good restaurant. There is a swimming pool as well as children's play area. The hotel is very well located for hikers and explorers who want a break from the hustle and bustle of nearby Granada. Lovely hotel, lovely setting, lovely hosts!
Staff was great. The hotel is clean a little dated but the entrance does have a wow factor. The hall ways are nice and the room was clean and nice as we had a terrace/balcony with a great view of the city. There is a casino next door if you like to play the slot machines or are up for some poker and/or black jack.
Comfortable, in a quiet are, ok for one night,
Friendly staff
Big, comfortable bed
Parking and restaurant at the hotel
Quiet night
Simple breakfast served at the table and it was no problem to ask for more bread
Nice view over the Granada valley from the front terrace (not from the hotel terrace)
The location is excellent. near Granada but a village and fantastic hiking routes nearby. The best thing about the breakfast was the cat! Very cuddly but polite, didn´t jump on the table with the food, only the empty tables. Otherwise the breakfast was very basic typical Spanish... Nice friendly staff.
Plenty of parking, nice big room and elevator was handy. Good breakfast with toast, orange juice and coffee. The location is outside of Granada but we could drive to the Alhambra from the back and avoid the city, which was about 15 minutes away.
Almunia has the most spectacular views into the mountains and some stunning walks nearby through immense gorges. It is also only 20 minutes and a 20 minute taxi from Granada centre.
The gardens were beautiful and the food out of this world.
It was a lovely spot, with a pretty courtyard. Our hostess was great, and it was very close to Los Cohorres, the hike we intended to do. The restaurant our hostess recommended was the best meal we had in our three weeks in Spain.
Perfect location for amazing Los Cohorros/Rio Monachil walking. Host came out with keys within 10 mins of calling him (and had contacted us in advance to help). Also helped us with buses to Granada. Big car park directly opposite.
Only 20 min from Granada centre, we enjoyed the countryside in the middle of a wine yard, with a beautiful mountain view! We couldn’t ask for a better “local aroma”! We wanted something special and we definitely had it!
Very friendly and welcoming owner, breathtaking drive to the Sierra Nevada. We went skiing and the hotel is great value if you want to stay with in reasonable driving distance.Would any time return with out hesitation.
Exceptionally clean.
Great space with great host.
Fabulous location with easy access to walks, restaurants, bus stops and local attractions such as Granada and Sierra Nevada
Location, the quiet (as long as you don't walk in the street because the terrible Spanish dogs are hideous).
the swimming pool, the kitchen. The outdoor seating areas.
